Never Know
The one I love will never know,
Just how much I want her so.
She walks with me, her smile beams,
Is this real, or just a dream?
But she can't feel my racing heart,
Like thrashing feet of horse and cart.
A friend I am and a friend I'll stay,
I told myself it would end this way.
The one I love will never know,
Because I cannot tell her so.
Tell her now you coward, you fool,
Use that drink there as your tool.
The vehicle for your love is there,
If you could only say you care.
London, home, she's called again.
She will never know the pain,
I suffer every time she leaves.
Because inside I still believe.
Just how much I want her so.
She walks with me, her smile beams,
Is this real, or just a dream?
But she can't feel my racing heart,
Like thrashing feet of horse and cart.
A friend I am and a friend I'll stay,
I told myself it would end this way.
The one I love will never know,
Because I cannot tell her so.
Tell her now you coward, you fool,
Use that drink there as your tool.
The vehicle for your love is there,
If you could only say you care.
London, home, she's called again.
She will never know the pain,
I suffer every time she leaves.
Because inside I still believe.
