Thanks, appreciate it. I think repetition is important, we all do it without meaning to, in speech & writing, so why not make a virtue of it?

The repeated line does make the point clear. One suggestion though: The line "Thinking of leaving my door on the latch" I assume means shut but not locked. Would the meter be improved by saying: Thinking of leaving my door unlatched." I suppose "on the latch" sounds awkward to my (American) ears. But since the UK and America are separated by a common language, perhaps I just need more pub time.
