For Lillian

Hidden from the light of stars
there sleeps my darling dead
and every passing day without her
fills my heart with dread
her captivating hazel eyes
they used to shine so bright
I'd give the world to gaze in them
as I fall asleep tonight
but she's a corpse without a grave
and I a broken soul
I was bound to her and her to me
together, we were whole
now she's the sun and I the moon
together we'll never be
for my darling Lillian
sleeps beneath the sea
