Trust

She laid herself out
so nakedly
that nothing else
remained to see
except the shadow
of the carbon
making up
her form.

She ached
and stormed
and opened up
so deeply
that inspection
left nothing
but the ringed energy
of her aura.

She gave
of herself,
her vital liquid nature,
her tangled touch
and web
of interlocking love.

And when
she had
seemingly
exhausted all
she had
to give,
I asked her
to talk
with me,
and this
became
the stumbling stone
that held
the central zone
at bay,
the troubling edge
and final
intrusion,
to have a look
inside
the secrets
of her heart.
