Spider
Envious the spider was
As she watched me eat at dawn.
Hiding like she always does,
I always think she's gone.
At noon she truly feels alone, more hungry at mid day.
I planned on lunch to be at home but I couldn't get away.
Dusk came slow as I returned to home, and my spider met my gaze.
I gave her a fly that I caught on my drive
and she happily scampered away.
