upon the page
open wounds
that spill my pain
dried crusts of death
of darkened red
leaving behind mournful stains

flowing out
through open veins
the thoughts are bled
within my head
an onslaught
I must sustain

inside my mouth
iron
salt
and the taste of doubt
upon my tongue
my pain undone
a taste
I could do without

across my heart
flowing free within the dark
the bloodstained breath
within my chest
breathing death
on ancient scars

blood bleeds black
within my eyes
lifeless tears that cannot hide
they try to blend
upon my skin
leaving mournful stains behind
