 as we lay within the softness
the moonlight drifts over bodies
still now
from hours of love making and play

energy removed, rest comes easy
still, fingers trace outlines
over hollow cheek and lips
and slowly, once across your chest

the rise and fall I feel
as with every breath
till I wrap my hand around you
