One Day

One day we’ll make it through the trials,
One day they’ll accept the charges and stop the denials,
One day they’ll accept us all, no more asylums
One day we’ll all be equal, no more slums

We try to make it through the tribulations,
We turn on each other, On other nations
We take the pills to get the sensations,
Will we come together? What’s wrong with this notion?

There’s coming a day when we all stop,
There’s coming a day when all the hate pops,
When the rain doesn’t stop dropping,
When the bottom and the top swaps

No more crime, No more waiting in line
No more claiming what’s mine and what’s yours,
No more separation, No more segregation,
No more losing traction, No more need for suction
No more throwing our lives up for auction,
No more deductions, No more authorities giving cautions,
No more buildings fallen due to arson,
No more foreign countries holding our sons,
And daughters, No more need for guns.

There’s coming a day, Will you make it through to see that day?
