Love

Love finally came to me true,
love finally showed itself in you.
Family love does not count
though it is a large amount.
I see the world
as a girl
in reality
though it's kinda ugly.
I know the fakes
though it takes
a stab or two
in the back by who
I trust and love
but they aren't above
shooting me down
and giving me frowns.
I'm different I know.
I tried not to show
but it was no use
so this is for you.
I don't care anymore
what others say for sure.
It still hurts
though the dirt
has ground itself in
intensifying the pain of their sin.
I strived to be smart
and then found art.
I became intelligent
and found love again and again.
I now realize
that I at times should cry
to let it all go
let go of the sorrow.
It's all there
and I still care
but I'm trying I am
to stop this with a dam.
