Drunk with wine
Drunk with wine
I spoke the words
Words of my attachment
I let them slip
I gave a sign
Sign I could be falling
You ask me now
If I recall
Recall the wordy stupor
I lie and say
Was just the wine
Wine that made me whisper
But deep within
A jaded heart
Heart in hope yet frozen
I'm scared to death
To fall for you
Your breath would not invite me.
I spoke the words
Words of my attachment
I let them slip
I gave a sign
Sign I could be falling
You ask me now
If I recall
Recall the wordy stupor
I lie and say
Was just the wine
Wine that made me whisper
But deep within
A jaded heart
Heart in hope yet frozen
I'm scared to death
To fall for you
Your breath would not invite me.
