POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
A primal poet at best. I type thoughts, moods, dreams and/or images that I have regardless of structure. I am by no means the best. And if the best is what you expect, then I expect you to look elsewhere for quality.
as it was
cobwebs on the curtains.
no footprints on the carpet.
the clothes inside the closet
remain unworn for days,
for weeks.
the silence speaks
volumes here.
the food within the fridge
expired it did.
cans, bags, boxes, mags
and assorted
drinking glasses
in the cabinets:
all collecting dust
as the time passes.
the silence amasses
volumes here.
radio waves...

your Will versus our's
see him, keep him.
believe him, steep him in
a tangle of cords and tubes
just to see him through.
do not be rude, be there
every day; say that you
love him despite this decay
and dismay it entails.
despite grey outcomes that may
transpire - keep stoking his fire
and defy the gales; PREVAIL!
Do not sail unto the light
just yet - let us let you live.
we want to give you this chance
to reverse the circumstances
even if it is slight.
do not go gently
into that good night.
fight until you can fight
no more - only...

black door
one room
one chair
no windows
no lights
cold air
no halls
to other rooms
no paintings
or magazine racks
upon these
four black walls
you find yourself
by yourself, engowned
here - a place
with no sound
lost in time
in this hell
wondering how
you got in
it mattering not
now
with there being
only one way out
that you can see
a black door
with no knob
no lock
others sob
they are in...

defeated purpose
my heart is breaking
the feeling's fleeting
my balls are aching
it's self-defeating
just looking your way

hedonistic hymn
crucifixion on the clothe
reiteration of a hymn
your five most loyal servants
are shining up their trays
they all are quite eager
to respond to every whim
they make no sudden movements
until you say they can
we are a meddled flower
with petals on the floor
I am the sprawling root
and you are the waxy stem
soft hands of the picker
creep along the thorn
we bite the forbidden fruit
and exhale an "Amen!"

marina
a myriad of boats
sit there
in sloped rows
covered in blue
rain-proof plastic.
much like
a list of pending
dreams, they wait
to be taken out
to sea.

collapse
seconds do their rounds
through hollow hours
and I
still
lead
a fight
with dulled ambition
which I know will lead
to a retreat without
a clench of fist
nor teeth
I give in faster than I
can give out
through hollow hours
and I
still
lead
a fight
with dulled ambition
which I know will lead

no lover
I'm not a lover
I cannot love
in that way
I love not for I see not
for love is blind
and so is mine
unrefined, unaligned,
having me
doggedly pine
despite a closed mind
and bound heart
desperate to feel
love and its luxuries
love and its tragedies
love and its memories
but alas
I am no lover
and I have not yet a clue
on how to be
(find me, free me...)

exhuming the hatchet
I dug a hole to bury the hatchet,
worn and dull with nicks and scratches,
threw it in as well as some dirt,
partially buried in the earth and then,
I plucked it out with second thoughts
and held it in my hands once more.
Maybe it deserves another chance
and acquiesce to severance.
To first be resharpened, then be swung
on tangled heartstrings and tied tongues.
worn and dull with nicks and scratches,
threw it in as well as some dirt,
partially buried in the earth and then,
I plucked it out with second thoughts

heaven's leaves, eden's boughs
leaves fall from eden's boughs,
scattered to land on heaven's grounds,
your hands and face are cold and blush,
but that doesn't matter much at all
for it is fall, and all is well.
a layer of grey, clouds drift away,
the sun is not present at all this day,
nothing to say yet much to imbibe,
but it doesn't matter much at all
for it is fall, and that's just fine.
you are lost within a dying wood,
where even if you could go home
you would, but you decline - only to
find yourself deep within, but
it's okay - for fall is welcome...

fatal
differently shaped
and differently sized
bottles and bags
lined on shelves
and stacked on tables.
the same pursuits
of prefered highs
each one having the
potential to be fatal.
you were fearless
and stayed fucked up
diminished if not dependent.
so kind you thought for it
to kick a nerve,
to swerve you right
when it really served you wrong
in the lack of reality's resplendence.
your friends and family meant something once.
you, yourself, and I meant something once.
you found freedom from all the shit...
