POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Freestyle, erotic, heavy on descriptive details, similes/metaphors - but what are words but faint husks when it comes to the true nature of a poet?
These notes belong to you
Smoky white caresses drifting towards my parted lips
Eyes closed in surrender to those sharp, precise riffs
Dragging your pick down my spine, bone to bone
Each unsounding click another twist on my throbbing
Nerves and now you’ve strung me even tighter
Securing your calloused fingers against each groove
Imprinted with the mold of your well-practiced fingers
Iron-branded hot upon my hips, caught in your obsidian gaze
Giving in,
Giving in,
Giving in.

Sweetest Nights
Sweetest nights are made of you and I
Flying over pavement, riding across
lightning, spider-veined skies
Thunder chasing our taillight as we
disappear into the unquiet night
Sweetest nights cast shadows of you and I
Body to body, fingers entwined
Stardust clinging to your eyelashes
Meteor showers crashing
soundless waves against shores
made of shuddering sighs and fragile goodbyes
These beautiful nights sing of you and I
Sweetest notes rise with smoky
tendrils curling up toward a
glittering seaside night

Fool
There's an alacrity to the downfall
From this soundproof, shatterproof window
I watch from the other side, alone as always
The smiling fool crashing in what was once
Defined as elegance now turned sadly into
Bitter, repetitive ugliness no mirror gratefully reflects
Even God turns away from this mistake
Shall I beat upon the glass and drown myself
In the fury of my untethered maelstrom of frustration
Ill-willed anger at faults none to blame but myself?
Shall I sob loudly and scream in vain for my inability
To grab this smiling fool and throttle...
