She Emptied Her Cup
There was a little girl,
she said,
whose cup always flooded her mouth
with bitter lies.
You would always compare her lies
to the world’s truth just as you would \
compare completely good and bad
with a hint of good.
You couldn’t. Even when
the world fought to remain
black and white
in its barren landscape,
she stayed determined to add her special splash
of color.
There was a young girl,
she said,
who savored your sadness like how
you would bask in her
joy.
While she wove intricate
stories that...
