POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I have almost finished writing the worlds longest horror story. THE JAW has taken me over 8 years to pen and now my journey is almost at an end. I will be using this site so I can introduce you to my work.
DIRTY SWINE.
I arrive at his house I depart off the dirty bus
Don’t want to draw attention, don’t want to make a fuss
I must be as discreet as I can
If I want to successfully carry off my plan
I pace the street up and down
I can’t wait to set eyes upon John Brown
I stand outside his address
His garden is unkempt, a total mess
I look up at the window and I am almost certain
Someone is watching me from behind the curtain
I walk slowly up and down
How do I introduce myself to John Brown?
After ten minutes of pacing and stroking my chin
I...

THE CHILDREN'S HOME.
The place of safety was dirty and cold
The building smelt damp, musky and old
The shit-hole in which I was to roam
Was a pathetic excuse for a children's home
They clothed and fed me as little as they could
Didn't look after me as they should
We weren’t their own kids why should they care?
Not their flesh and blood trapped in there
Not once did my mum make her way;
To visit and check to see if I was okay
It was obvious, it was clear;
She didn’t care as she didn’t come near
I always had a dirty, tear stained face
Always...

GRAHAM.
Time went on and things remained the same
Until Mr Graham started to play his vile game
The things he did still haunt me to this day
Those horrendous memories will never go away
At first I thought he was just being friendly
I laughed as he bounced me up and down on his knee
What he whispered to me made my toes curl
He told me I was his very special little girl
Graham would come and tuck me in at night
Making sure he switched off the light
He was silent, didn’t want anyone to hear or see
The dirty things he was doing to me

AURORA.
We lean against the rails that overlook the bay
“Hey what’s that?” I hear Betty say
Her gaze is fixed her eyes are glazed
She looks astounded, looks amazed
She points her finger towards the sky
I lift my head, gasp and sigh
Our eyes behold a vision of lights
One of nature’s most wonderful sights
We stare, gape look in contemplation
Look in awe at the magnificent creation
The heavens are scattered with a broken rainbow
Stunning shades of green, blue and yellow
Charged partials colliding with our atmosphere:

PUPPET MASTER.
I remember every second of that day of that day
The day he had his wicked way
It will be forever etched in my memory
No need for pencil, pen and emery
The physical scars will get better I’m sure
But the mental ones nothing will cure
I hated him more than I ever did
Why did I love him? I felt so stupid
He showed me no remorse or compassion
I hated him with a fiery passion
I had lived in fear of him for so long
Living a life so deplorable and wrong
All he dishes out was torture and pain
Well I wasn’t going to endure it ever...

CROSSES TO BEAR.
Alice had worked in the refuge for just over five years
Had seen plenty of pain, plenty of tears
Alice had accidentally let slip
Some horrible stories, just as bad gossip
Alice had sat playing with her hair
Told me why some of the women were in there
Stories of horror, stories of physical pain
Some women beaten, some almost slain
‘The woman with her front teeth missing…
Her husband caught her with another man kissing
He head-butted her square in the face
Damage so bad her teeth the dentist can’t replace
The woman with the...

OPEN YOUR EYES.
Hello Sir, I’m Dr Ross
I have come to talk to you about your loss
I’m sorry, I only have a few minutes free
Would you be so kind as to follow me?”
He’s taking me to see Betty I’m so bloody scared
The doctor verbally warns me to be prepared
“Not because your wife’s appearance is a mess
But she doesn’t look good, I must confess
Her face is discoloured, a little grey
Her natural colour is fading away
I will leave you two alone
If you need anything you can use that phone”
His bedside manners leave a lot to be desired ...

BUG'S LIFE.
I grab the critter by its nape
Poor thing is trying its best to escape
It's scared, it's wriggling it's not happy
Poor thing is a thousand times smaller than me
To look it in the eyes wouldn’t be correct
So from it's neck its head I disconnect
"You'll have to eat its blood and gore
You're going to have to eat it raw"
I think it's shitting itself as its ass is dripping
The thought of eating this bug is gipping
I'm shaking as I don't want to do it
Plus the thing is covered in shit
But even in this world we have to eat ...

THE MEETING. Taken from THE JAW.
What is there to do today? Hmm not a lot'
I think to myself as I drink my coffee hot
I might as well go for a walk in the park
Sit there at noon until it turns dark
I love sitting on that wooden seat
It's my getaway, my solace, my little retreat
Lovers lying side-by-side
Kids playing back and forth on the slide
Walls covered in graffiti, expressing love and hate
The local meeting area for chavs off the Estate
All walks of life passing to and fro
It really is a diverse place to go
But first I had better tidy up this place
And...
