I am you
I know nothing .
I am a child of complexity .
I am a secret.
Do i burden you?
I have hidden in the corners
of your thoughts when it is light.
I have taken your sadness
and digested all your tears.
I am feeble and clumsily attached.
I am afraid.
I am harboring a gift.
I have traveled many miles.
I am familiar with now.
I am colorful.
I am absent of time.
I am in a panic-
sometimes
when I am nervous.
I am small.
I am everywhere.
Hold me.
I am you.
I am your conscience.

Military
A soldier man adrift at sea
returns again before the next
chapter in his book becomes complete
the corner bar reserves his seat
the barkeep knows his name and face
with welcome voice he knows he's home
they encourage him to always stay
rather than to leave alone
but this young man nods his head
pays his tab and out he goes
waiting for the journey to begin
just how it ends , nobody knows
lived in the moment
forward , and march...
*into the heart of every demon
this soldier plays his part
*with boundless courage we...

aw...you may feel uneasy
and honestly, I share a bit of what you're nervous about.
But if you look at what the choices were
well...
what can you say is more acceptable....
a man who .....may have been inappropriate with a number of women.....
or....
a politician that has focus on her own agenda,
a politician that must be trusted to make the right decisions .....
what about the lives that have died on her watch?
But we are not going to investigate it anymore no matter what evidence pops up...
Ok so she wont do any prison time.

Aging
It's just another day-
the month of thanksgiving and elections
The year passed quickly
I remember it some
The children are not small anymore
I dye my hair
so the grey doesn't show
Can you guess what number mine is now?
Soon comes Christmas
November is forgotten

The American Way
absent.
hollow.
mundane.
running on eggshells barefoot in the snow
tragic.
you swallow her pain.
escaping the judgement you wish not to know.
Why does the ringing get louder?
The tingling inside you
cant hide through the shower
of droplets that fall,
and succum to the power,
of your nervous , crackling, indecisive surrender.
Anxiety wears little disguise.
Sometimes a smile
so awkward you cry.
Sometimes it feels like a bright neon sign
is glued to your for-head
that says, "this is mine!"

Bitch Ass
She has researched my name,
my history,
my life,
injecting problems into existence
that were far out of sight.
She has preyed on my past mistakes
under society's eyes,
and brought such to the forfront,
like some new surprise.
Her goal is to ruin the relationship in my life.
She has slowly been planting her seed.
If I don't stay ahead of her moves, I will find
this dumb bitch will somehow succeed.
She has a clean slate-
No mistakes publicly known.

and how big it has grown.

Maybe
wrote this in 2014....
His name was "Maybe" because he couldn't make up his mind.
If you asked him to pick an option he never could decide.
He inherited a fortune and announced it to his friends,
inviting all his exes to come and make amends.
All together in his house , the women fought like cats and dogs.
For days he tried to dream up ways to make them get along.
"Maybe" asked his butler to help him organize
a trip to Paris with the fairest lady of the time.
So the butler kicked the exes out because he thought it...

When you speak the wind retreats
Into silent waiting souls
Forgiven for your blunt reaction
It is truth that can not hide
From the solemn answers rhythm
A song soon comes to mind
Local bands once knew your name

But still, you stayed all night

My Neighbor.....
If I was to guess
and made to confess
the opinion of mine
that has to suggest
if intuition rings true…
or could it be less-
than an objective idea
of dislike, at best?
What would I say
in the most truthful way
through my eyes of waiting
for some kind of display-
of what a person thinks
when I don’t own their day.
She tries to just hide
but I can feel all her hate.
Not knowing another
is no warrant for contempt
but in an unripened fruit
it is easy to expect.
When the mind is left shallow
