Dear mom,
This is your son,
I am writing this to you,
To tell you I’m done.
Hold back those tears,
Please don’t cry
Don’t make this any harder,
For me tonight.

For I am too much of a burden,

one you should treasure, but not as a possession
who needs to be loved, not treated with aggression
her value is more than all the world's treasures
not just the sum of scales unit measures
she should always be built up, not torn down
by all the words you speak when she is around

I'm just a baby in this womb.
My two teen parents are "doomed".
Daddy can't tell his mother because she won't let him come back.
Mommy can't tell her father because I'm half black.
They decide that abortion is the key to secretly getting rid of me.
I'm just a baby growing everyday.

I want to wear clothes and see the world.
