If I Were......
If I were a flower,
An everlasting symbol, like a dove,
I'd give my thanks and nod my head,
To the one I love.
If I were a poem,
Beautiful flowing lines,
I'd recite all the feelings inside,
Time after time.
If I were the sun,
Just to show I care,
I'd shine down all my hope,
Just for us to share.
If I were a cloud,
I would give my best,
Rain down only happiness,
Till I was finally missed.
But for now, I'll be me,
Feeling my love anew,
Showing my love in many ways,
If only to be with you.

A New Beginning
I feel your strong arms around me,
My back against your chest,
Your heart beating in rhythm with mine,
Your lips softly caressing my head.
I give myself up to the rapturous emotions,
You stir in my heart and soul each day,
I feel the new life shift within me,
Our new family has begun with a vigor,
I am sure surprises us both,
We know life is going to change tremendously,
It is a change we look forward to and embrace fully.
Our love is beginning something new,
Something wonderful and fulfilling,
You give my life a whole new meaning,...

My Special Friend
I met someone like me today,
Never thought that I would have someone
Who shared with me a similar mind
A lasting friendship has begun
He seems to really like my crap
Though why I have to wonder
Cause in my mind all I can see
Is some scribbles and a blunder
He rushes off to see me
Excited that I'm there
And I admit, I'm just as stoked
This connection that we share
And who can blame me, He's awful sweet
Amazing with his literary finesse
He gets you steamy with his words
Shocks you with poetry prowess.

Only love can hurt this bad
Set Adrift in a sea
A mindless wandering
Searching for something
Hoping for apology
Betrayal comes swift
A knife in the back
Can't even look into my eyes
The "angel" turned demon
As the truth is hidden
The lies pile up
Like corpses in the morgue
Saying trust me
I love you
Push away from me
Don't touch me
I feel dirty
I trusted you

Lost Tears
Delve down deep, find the fear inside,
I need to bring it to light,
Something makes me push it deeper,
And create a mask to hide behind,
I know what makes me so upset,
The thing it is,
It’s driving me insane,
And I just want to cry,
But the tears won’t come,
They are stuck inside,
Inside a bleeding heart,
With every beat it calls,
For just one simple thing,
Fulfillment, Completion,
That state of the heart,
But only time will tell,
So these lost tears I cannot cry,
Will stay locked behind fluttering lashes,
And I will find...

My Life
My life is like a snow globe,
Swirling, confusing, beautiful,
Twinkling music playing gently,
Whilst the figure pirouettes.
My life is like a bell,
Awash with glad tidings,
With a diminutive touch of grace,
When impelled, resounds.
My life is like a china doll,
Willowy and slender, happy, dimpled,
Displaying certain little girl charm,
Forever proclaiming innocence.
My life is like a portrait,
Illustrating a still life,
But never exhibiting the complete picture,
Furnishing truth with little logic.

Peek of Glory
I can see you,
Standing over there
Watching me walk by
It's hard to miss
Your jaw dropped down
A tent sprung in your pants
I cannot blame you
I'm dressed to kill
I need no vindication
Yet there you are
Drooling on the ground
Increasing my satisfaction
I bend down
And fix my shoe
Working it like a boss
When I stand up,
I send a smile
And give my hair a toss
It's plain to see
You got a peek
Of my glory as I bent down
I meet your eyes
Give a wink
And set forth on the town.

And light the moon,

Look in my eyes,

Living Dead
Darkness curling around me,
I let it find its way in,
Let it curl around my soul,
Give it my anger,
My hate to feed on,
Let it build slowly,
Spilling over into my life,
No longer wearing color,
But rather the absence thereof,
I lose interest in everything,
My friends, my family,
I go through life abhorring,
What everyone else stands for.
LIFE, LOVE, HOPE, FAITH,
I lost those long ago,
The rumors, the name calling,
The cheating, the lying,
Two faced back stabbing sons of bitches,
What is the use in living? ...

Release From An Icy Prison
Sunlight glitters against the frozen wasteland of my heart
A voice of adoration skates through and echos
Slowly casting heat around the edges of my existence
The iridescent icy shell begins to crack
As the hand of promise approaches
A caress, a lingering touch
And the cracks become a network of lines
A web of shimmering brilliance
Encompassing my entire being
Whispered words
An incandescent melody wafts through the air
Stirring my soul from the depths of despair
Into which it had sunk and settled
A feather soft brush of his hand
So hot,...
