Losing grip
It slips
It's slipping
Right through my hands
In the gaps between
My fingertips
Like loose, subtle sand
The weight tipping; unsettling
The balance
What's known as yin and yang
It’s like I’m losing grip
Of all of it
Everything I worked so hard to have...

ANGER POEM

Bloodless
Coiled veins
Wrapped around like endless spirals
Eyes of glassy marbles
And hair of tangled chains
Arms of heavy iron
And a heart that isn’t going
It seems like your old tactless engine
Isn’t pulling any chains
Your clothes are just a riot
Your nose is made of plastic
Insides stuffed with Styrofoam
Light a match and you’re on fire
You’d love to drown in bloodlust
Ignore the life that’s moves past us
But now you’ve nothing left to defend
Admit the fact you’re bloodless

Patience love, patience! Trust takes time
Never let it all away
Now, don’t let her fall
Place her down, carefully, as if she were your own
Love her dare, love her strong
Don’t let go of her arm
Be a friend
Be-
As true
As you can
And when she says she doesn’t want to carry on
Fight it
Stand your ground
Say you love her
Don’t you let her down!
And when she says she needs you to hold her
In your arms
Take her in
Take her in

Never forget it that day
First impressions being everything ...
Now, don’t let her fall

Winter's Seldom Romance
Flaked out roses decompose
On half slid down sheets eroding
As they unravel off the sides
The floor hits like a head wound
The dust floats like a cool breeze
The lovers smell of a dying breed
They don’t realize amidst the struggle
They suffocated in each others arms last night
It was cold and both were rendered too weak to fight
They wait to awake to their doom
In this light filled lifeless room
Smiles still brushed across their faces
Noses enclosed in skin and blankets

A window
I am open; for discussion
but the moment a cool breeze blows in
I will shut up
and shut you out
I am a window
of opportunity
I am a widow;
mourning modesty
Yeah I am delicate
Please close the blinds
for I have no hands;
and I have no eyes
When the world moves around me
it's only ever "one" angle
I don't move
I sit adjacent to, what’s pretty to look out to
But I?
You only see straight through
that's all they do, I couldn't wish for new
But that's okay; ...

My Ageless Valentine <3
Take down your fences
your dark pigment eyes
Portray those worth more than diamonds;
for diamonds are blind
Falling forward to surroundings
but we'll never get bruised
Because you'll fall on me
as I fall for you
Please give me no reason
to cry on this day
Lease me your fortune
To spend my whole life away
And when money gets tough
we'll go back in time
And I'll trade you for diamonds
before you go blind.

Love is all there is to it
Eyes of fine slices,
Chime with long strung up diamonds.
As the last breathe arrives,
You've a tight grasp of my hand.
Faithul without being obliged to,
Leaving all we had behind us.
60 years a happy marriage,
Children healthy, neighbours dead.
A wedding ring glinting from the bedside lamp;
Death bed where for decades we slept.
Taking all life has to throw at us,
Not from the day we eloped, but from the day we first met.
Vowels meaning so much, still strong when we'd fight.
Till death do us part, till my heart it...
Chime with long strung up diamonds.
As the last breathe arrives,

Settle down Sattelite
Pendulums, doused in gasoline
And lit with with intimate phrases.
The heat gains and burns away
At all such hatred.
Let you hair down, let the pain fall
Gather up your tears and AWOL statements.
Cos' tonight theres nothing left to hide.
Tonight there's no more words to say.
As the heavy weight flies back and forth,
The fire lights the way.
No sense of direction but somehow it just knows
Where it needs to sway.
It never stops, forever rocks
Engulfing all thats in its way
As we watch we admire it; and aspire to...
