I wouldnt call myself a poet by any means but I do enjoy trying
SPIRITUAL POEM

for a friend
Send me an angel down from above
bring with him ever lasting love
wrap his arms around my friend
and tell her this pain will one day end
fill her darkened skies with light
with a million of stars that dazzle bright
send her waterfalls and rainbows too
and bring forth all the things she loves to do
Lend her your wings so she can once again to fly
keep her safe, warm and dry
never let her be alone
and let her find love beneath each stone..........

DARK POEM

breaking bones
What voice today will I hear?
The one that whispers gently round my ear
Or the one that sends me shivering with fear
Will you greet me with a smile?
Or will you be angry and wild
Will you want to hold my hand?
Or bury me where I stand
Will you call me by my name?
Or will I not even look the same
Will you be coherent?
Or be re-enacting out some bereavement
Will you be tending your home?
Or out breaking bones……...[/font]

Standing in the dark
In the corner I stand
face hidden by hand
In hope you will not see
the pain that lingers me
how convenient it is too hide
In the darkness out of site
In the shadows of the room
In that space full of gloom
How I do tend to dwell
in this my prison sell
though how easy it should be
Just to set my burdens free
to take these chains from my soul
and let my spirit grow
to walk out from the dark
and hold that candle full of spark
but if only it were that...

Enter life on pterodactyl wing
Open eyes in the new born spring
Fly freely in the swallow’s flight

How could I be a poor man
How could I be a poor man
when I am surrounded by your light
from when I open my eyes in the morning
to when I close them again at night
How could I have no riches
when your gold I see so bright
not hoarded in some treasure chest
but up high, beaming down with all your might
How could I be dressed in rags
when I am clocked with such delight
a glow I hold within my heart
the love I hold real tight
No longer am I a rich man falling
blinded by his plight
instead a poor man standing tall
embracing out his fight. ...

So cold is the night
You’ve left me to carry
you’ve left me to hold
you’ve left me feeling lonely
and far, far to old
So still are the waters
so cold is the night
and the blankets that warms us
now suffocates me inside
life is a journey
life is a gift
and I cannot just lay here
waiting for the tide to shift
my ships at the harbour
the sails are blowing free
there’s my journey out there
and I do wish you join me
But I know it won’t happen
my wish won’t come true
as you’ve never loved me
as much as I loved you
...
you’ve left me to hold

untouched
Untouched
Your beauty is all around,
no leaf has been turned,
no branch felled,
your just off the beaten path,
amongst the undergrowth,
in the twinkle in my eye,
out of sight from passers by,
untouched from human kind
and will stay untouched from I
as to touch or try to change, will only cause you harm,
to hold you tightly in my arms and call you my own,
would be so wrong,
as you are not mine to keep
you are only mine to seek.

No rivers between
What evil will come our way
when darkness fill our day
when the polar cap it melts
and the skies turn gray
Will it come as such a surprise
when the waters they rise
and that last bough it breaks
and time simply drifts away with the tide
landslide and hurricaine come
a roar of thunder, will echoe across the seven seas
there will be no place to run
no place to run
and when we are on our mothers knees
begging her, pledding her for her mercy's
War! it will creap upon us
like a black cloud of pure insanities
