POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Sailing La Vagabonde
in their home, on the sea, under canvas and sun
on a speedy white sloop, they go searching for fun
they left Greece for beyond to find magic for two
star-crossed dreamers afloat in the great unknown blue
with calm hope in their hearts and a hand on the wheel
they set sail on a course that’s authentic and real
they are vagabonds both and brave dreamers at heart
two younger lovers at sea, armed with compass and chart
and while stars above shine on the deep ocean’s swell
in the still of their slumber these two cast a spell
for adventure and mirth...

your mouth
you say you know what makes you tick
you say you know what does the trick
you say it like you know I’m thick
…and you say it with your mouth
you say you know who’ll be the one
you say you know who’ll get it done
you say it like a smoking gun
…and you say it with your mouth
you say you know who treats you right
you say you know who’s worth a fight
you say it each and every night
…and you say it with your mouth
you say you know just what it takes
you say you know why your heart aches
you say it just like all the fakes...

swim?
cool and inviting
her waves call me in
licking my ankles
and pulling my skin
come fly like a dream bird
slow, languid and free
lost, found and floating
in the mouth of the sea
her kiss how it quenches
the fire of the sun
and quickens a hunger
for the swim just begun
I stroke at the surface
half wet and gliding
the shimmering surface
her secrets are hiding
come fly like a dream bird
slow, languid and free
lost, found and floating
in the mouth of the sea
I plunge to the depths
legs...

blue frost covered flower
In the full of December
I hear the pond's calling
so in spite of the cold
and the dim haze of morning
I skate out with longing
for a moment behind me
I still can remember
the tears and the falling
just seven years old
on a cold winter morning
my parents, both skating
oh, the lessons they taught me
on sharp blades of steel
I carve lines and circles
on the image that chases
and follows below me
cold, scratched and frozen
reflection of me
how I long for the springtime
and the warmth of...

the song in my heart
It’s your love that made me
My heart knows it’s true
It’s your love that made me -
just you being you
No matter what troubles
life threw in our way
you carried me through them
and carried me through them...
Carried me through them
like you do today
I don’t care that you’re pretty
I don’t care that you’re smart
I just know that I love you
You’re the song in my heart
No matter what troubles
Life threw in our way
you carried me through them
and carried me through them..
Carried me through them
Like you do...
My heart knows it’s true
It’s your love that made me -
just you being you
No matter what troubles

november family
all asleep, in this field, under trees and grey stone
your red drums now're silent, now quiet, alone
and you slumber, in peace, far away from your home
with your sisters and brothers now deep in the loam
with soft faces of youth and each with a name
when the need was most dire, by the millions you came
from our farms and our cities across this great land
that you swore to defend, as you each raised your hand
and you shouldered that burden, for all of us, me
all my brothers and sisters, my brave family
and with honor...

The Bull.
His mom named him El.
She was a powerful queen,
who slept with whoever she pleased.
She raised strong sons
who were cunning and brave
who’d grow to become
their own hilltop kings -
it was their way
back in those days.
And, El, he was a titan.
But more cunning than brave,
he wouldn’t leave with his brothers,
to build a tribe of his own.
For the house of his father
sat high on a hill,
where the two rivers began
that fed the two seas.
So he plotted and planned...

Highball elephant style
9 1/2 weeks
not so long to
silence the trains
that roared in passing
twixt loins and mind
laden with freight
southbound longing
northbound lust
Mars lights dancing
whistles screaming
thunderous greetings
notch eight floating
the daily sliding meet
that filled and thrilled
my thumping scarlet tunnel
alas
only gone
sixty seven nights -
the tracks are quiet
the tunnel is dark -
last trick
unlonely
I sleep

angel dreams
first I bend, then I kiss, to awaken her lips
and I feel, when she stirs, slowly raising her hips
while her soft, hungry sighs build in passion and pace
and her sweet, fragrant flesh gently rocks at my face
soon I feel, with my tongue, that she’s eager for more
as her muscles relax for me to explore
so I lick and I tease and I lavish her spot
til she cries with a passion that’s burning white hot
and the waves roll and crash like a beach by the sea
then she tugs at my hair saying give it to me
so I glide up her belly and give her a...

Dr. Wærloga
With calm and cool, you break your oath
to cut young boys with no free will,
who scream in pain - your conscience still.
Know this, strange fiend, I am not loath -
should I find you, your blood I'll spill.
to cut young boys with no free will,
who scream in pain - your conscience still.
Know this, strange fiend, I am not loath -
should I find you, your blood I'll spill.
