POEMS AND SHORT STORIES

If love is blind,
Then the greatest love poems of all time,
are written in the braille of scars.
Then the greatest love poems of all time,
are written in the braille of scars.

Could i be worth less?
I wasn't worth the time,
No hours or minutes to spare,
I wasn't worth the worry,
I wasn't worth a care,
I wasn't worth staying,
Not even worth a goodbye,
I wasn't worth fixing,
Not worth it to even try,
I wasn't worth the answers,
To the questions that I asked,
A reply in the moments,
Moments now buried in the past,
I wasn't worth the truth,
When asking how it all did end,
I wasn't worth a thing,
Not even worthy of a friend.
In case you ever wonder,
You're worth the pain, the tears, the mess,
You're...

Our war
The hands of the clock are crooked,
Time slowly falls away,
A never-ending battle,
We slip from night to day,
A conflict we cant escape,
A struggle each step we take,
Adrift in a sea of chaos,
From this nightmare we cannot wake,
From rage to calm within,
Cycles of rushing and waiting,
A balance none have mastered,
A duel of loving and hating,
Our morality's source unknown,
How do we so freely forgive our sin,
Yet shy away from our virtues,
As we live in a strangers skin,
A contemptible bunch are we, ...

Junkie
Like the needle awaits a vein,
And the pipe awaits a flame,
Though my drug is different,
I'm a junkies just the same,
I'm an addict I am cursed,
My hungers only getting worse,
I'm begging for release,
A rhymed and metered verse,
My addiction's here to stay,
No need to plead or pray,
It keeps me sane and kills my pain,
And chases my apathy away,
I cannot hide I will admit,
I want a fix I need a hit,
To taste your words upon my tongue,
This my habit I shall not quit,
Caught in its web forever,
Chasing words...

Perception of Reflection
Cracked, fractured, and broken is this mirrored glass that hangs before me. My gaze passes over the crowd of eyes looking back at me, blank stares awaiting an answer to their question. "What are we?" Are we the contents of a ragged soul bound in scar tissue? Are we a chaotic mind begging for peace? Are we a lonely heart longing to hold someone till all our emptiness is filled? Could it be we are just these words, made of similar letters yet our meanings are worlds apart depending on the reader. Existing between the chapters of our life and death, standing upon pages of the past, and...

I guess people change
To the world you were a weed,
Their looks so bitter sour,
Yet my heart saw something more,
A forever sweet and wild flower,
To the world you were a worm,
Hanging from threads set to break,
Yet I knew that you would fly,
A butterfly that's yet to wake,
To the world you were coal,
A stone scratched and scuffed,
But inside I seen you shimmer,
My own diamond in the rough,
To the world you were a raincloud,
Your true self they cannot see,
Yet I alone saw your magic,
A beautiful rainbow yet to be,
To the world you...

Better Days
When time becomes a place,
then all will be clear,
When then and there,
becomes now and here,
Bits of broken heart,
left scattered in the wind,
When bleeding wounds become,
just scars upon your skin,
When the last lonely sunset,
is painted in the sky,
When the last pained emotion,
is cried from your eye,
When the hopelessness does fade,
there is but one guarantee,
You'll one day meet someone who is everything,
that all the rest pretended to be.

The Suicide of Unrequited Love
And all at once, it happened, just like that.
No great spectacle, no cliche or overly grandiose moment.
As instant as a candle being blown out.
As quiet as a whisper.
His own poetic travesty.
And almost as if not wishing to be pretentious, it went calmly, as if falling asleep for the last time.
His heart had broken.
It had grown weak, been torn and tattered, beaten and bruised, left bleeding, healed and scarred many times over.
The webbing crack that had been growing during his life thus far had finally given way.
Sweet...

Broken Words
There is beauty in broken things,
Which only broken things can see,
There is a hero inside myself,
Who only around you I can be,
There is sunshine behind the rainclouds,
A light inside the dark,
Poetry in cryptic words,
Hate of love inside your heart,
Minds filled with empty thoughts,
Bottled wishes lost at sea,
Magic inside the madness,
And forever so shall be.

why?
Upon this paper, I lament,
the pieces I’ve given,
the hate I’ve spent.
Emptiness, my hollow breath,
the life was taken,
and given was death.
Farewell, flightless dove,
found was my hell,
lost was my love.
Fractured eyes, broken tears,
bleeding heart,
these pencil smears.
the pieces I’ve given,
the hate I’ve spent.
Emptiness, my hollow breath,
the life was taken,
and given was death.
Farewell, flightless dove,
found was my hell,
lost was my love.
Fractured eyes, broken tears,
bleeding heart,
these pencil smears.

The shallow depths of madness
Heaven and hell I am betwixt,
Floating along this river Styx,
Its icy waters silence my tongue,
Its fiery embers burn my lungs,
Light is fading, darkness abound,
In its depths I’ll surly drown,
Conflicting thoughts of a maddened youth,
Where lies are sweet and bitter the truth,
Planets fall when stars align,
Knotted threads of fate intertwine,
Burden the speaker of these fragile words,
They are but chains on flightless birds,
Fight fire with fir, the world will burn; consumed in its...

Paper Demons
Scarred skin made of parchment,
Blackened ink inside their veins,
Their souls formed from the essence,
Of my pleasures and my pains,
A deal with the devil gives them life,
Written in my own hand,
Where others see angels I see demons,
I can not understand,
Within each letter a cut,
Behind each word a tear,
Below each line a scar,
Inside each poem a fear,
They give my nightmares life,
Bringing only death upon my hope,
This pen and paper suicide,
For they create my hangman’s rope,
