POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My poems are my getaway.
The Day of Her Burial
They wash her lifeless body
Brush her plastic, brown hair
Shave her long, limp legs
Her nails painted red
They place her in a short silver dress
Strappy heels on her feet
The bestfriend necklace I gave her
Hangs loosely around her pulseless neck
Encased in a mahogany coffin
Laying peacefully on white lining
But if you look close enough
You can notice the scar on her temple
Where she placed the gun
Pulled the trigger
Dead
Gone from the world
Lost from me
Now I am searching
For someone
Who...

The Climb to the Top
Dark blue water
Angry waves
Crash down
Around her world
White backwash
Steals her away
Releasing her in a rip
Unable to swim
Slowly drowning
Hands dragging her under
Pulling her deeper
In hopes she wont be able
To swim back to the top
Where they will rein the waters
... that once
Belonged to her
Angry waves
Crash down
Around her world
White backwash
Steals her away
Releasing her in a rip
Unable to swim
Slowly drowning
Hands dragging her under
Pulling her deeper
In hopes she wont be able
To swim back to the top
Where they will rein the waters

Killing Another
He tickled her spine
Encompassed her soul
Drained her to the core
Encouraged her
To pick up the knife
"Cut vertically" he whispered
With a flick of her wrist
He moaned in pleasure
Blood flowing through her fingers
"Deeper, harder!" he commanded
Opening up her veins
Misery spills out
"One more and it will all be over" he told her
Obeying her master she dragged the knife
Through the artwork on her arm
She looked in the mirror
A scream stuck in her throat
Locking...

Guilt
Body overridden with guilt
Yet unable to tell the truth
As it will cost too much
She will lose friends
Be branded slut
All becasue of one mistake
So now she deals with her pain
Her hatred for herself
She is so lost
It won't let her forget
The betrayl
So now she is stuck in the past
Silent pleads for someone to listen
Someone not to judge
But she knows there is no one
So she keeps the bad
All to herself
Sinking under its weight
Knowing that when she becomes numb
She will feel nothing...
Yet unable to tell the truth
As it will cost too much

A Dark Story
There is no distinct memory
of when happiness changed into sadness,
nor when it morphed into evil.
Day by day something becomes anything
as smiles die, laughter stops
and the only thing heard is the cries.
And when the cries cease
there is no more sadness,
no more happiness.
Just the feeling of hatred,
fuelling the body,
altering emotions into evilness.
Destruction is cued
ruining a single life,
or may it be ruining many?
Unable to stop the inferno
knowing there is water
yet not knowing where.
...

Day by day something becomes anything
as smiles die, laughter stops
and the only thing heard is the cries.
And when the cries cease
there is no more sadness,
no more happiness.
Just the feeling of hatred,

Trailing of Darkness
As she stepped into the meadow
A darkness followed
Green grass shrivled into brown
Vivid flowers wilted into black
Blue skies charged with thunder
Stagnant air danced with aggression
Degradement is inevitable
In her dehumanized wake
And yet she is oblivious
To the impair she causes
Praying silently for release
From the evil she faces everyday
Yet too afraid to let it all go
Hoping for a light to shine
That will lead her into content
But she knows all is hopeless
A darkness followed
Green grass shrivled into brown
Vivid flowers wilted into black
Blue skies charged with thunder
Stagnant air danced with aggression
Degradement is inevitable
In her dehumanized wake
And yet she is oblivious
To the impair she causes
Praying silently for release
From the evil she faces everyday
Yet too afraid to let it all go
Hoping for a light to shine
That will lead her into content

Pirates and Sirens
There were two pirates
Sailing the seas
Hunting for treasures
Terrorising those in their path
They talked about sex
Laughed about pain
Partied till the sun rose
There was a siren
Longing for romance
Only receiving companionship
Until she found a way
So she sang her manipulative song
Encasing one pirate in her trance
Creating false love
There now was a single pirate
Trudging through Hell
Searching for a purpose
Crying herself to sleep
Consumed by alcohol
Degrading her...
