Quiet And Loud
I don’t quite know myself yet
I don’t think anyone ever knows the full extent
Of their true being
No matter how long they have been on
This earth
But what I do know
Is that I am happy
And proud
I can be wholly and undeniably me

I AM ALIVE
I finally switched to Spotify
And I finally hung out with the people
Who actually love me
I bought myself a fake nose ring
Because I can’t get a real one yet
And I bought green trinkets
And nail polish
Green is the best color.
And I bought myself flowers
And a stuffed animal
From my favorite childhood show
I didn’t put them on my desk and pretend
Someone else got them for me
I know I’m cared for
I have the love I need
And I finally hung out with the people
Who actually love me

Let Me Stay In Bed
I love life
I love living
But there are days
When it feels like my shirts are choking me
And everything my eyes land on
Has me questioning if it could hurt me
If I could use it
When I physically can’t function
And I snap at everyone
Because if you talk to me
I won’t listen
I’m too busy trying to deal
With the voices in my head
I don’t have energy to change my clothes
Or shower
Or brush my hair
I’ve been fighting
My teeth have been gritted ...
I love living
But there are days
