There’s a certain loneliness about eating alone in a restaurant full of people.
They way the waitress hits you with a soft smile,
In a way I feel she feels the same loneliness.
Looks like we’re both sharing a drink of sadness tonight.

Reflections are altered.
In every which way.
Sometimes- I see this beautiful being with vivid greens in her eyes and short dark hair.
I see a galaxy of wonder in her.
Wanting to explore every shadow, crack and corner of the universe.
Sometimes- I see this sad being with loneliness beckoning in her eyes and straggly hair.
I see a planet of isolation in her.
