Can we keep us?
trust me
i know nothing lasts forever
i know every day comes to an end
i know the future is unknown
but forgive me for hoping that
maybe, just maybe
we don't end
that our days are beautiful and everlasting
that we look to the future
not knowing what will happen
but being okay with bearing with anything that comes our way
as long as we're beside each other
no, not marriage
but no, not just a friendship
just let me keep this amazing thing that i have with you
because the way your eyes shine
looks...

Progression
it's a different type of feeling to be this young
but to constantly feel like you aren't doing enough
to always be in between living too fast
and maybe not really even growing up
is this called being an adult
i learned it's basically the same as the majority of my teen years
dreams? those are canceled
but i'll take all of these bills and keep the same fears
and these tears from old years
see, my pain doesn't age
all that darkness, you know black doesn't crack
but sometimes it just fades into a gray
kind of chilling on the side and...
but to constantly feel like you aren't doing enough

is this called being an adult

Picture you in my mind
Paint that image like it's on a canvas
Love it when you free and beautiful
Never posing like you always on them cameras
Steal my shine, it's yours
Hear that breaking like an old record player
Fire crackling in the back
As we burn those old identities and papers
Fuck what they saying baby
I'm all yours and you've been mine
You cover a thousand acres
The way you race through my mind
We could run away from it all
Life we want to live seems like a pipe dream, I know
But I'm not afraid to get lost with you...
