Hoppy Easter
While spring breezes rocked the flowers that drank in morning dew.
A frantic bunny ran about not knowing what to do.
“Oh what an awful mess!” He said loud enough to hear.
Just as a passing fairy flew by so very near.
“How may I help?” The fairy said as she stroked the rabbit’s hair.
For this was in her nature to show how much she cared.
“The bunny trail would sometimes zig then sharply turn to zag.”
“This is why so much got spilled out my bunny bag.”
“I’ve no time to collect it all, it’s much later now than late.”

A Lepera’con
For drink,” quipped an elfish man, “A story of an emerald land.
There be a tale of a moon lit night where I bestowed quite a sight.
Stirred restless from stolen dreams drifted music from a place unseen.
All around twas a heat from a chorus of sounds and rhythmic beat.
Not covered in dress I went as born out before the early morn.
Where those of only nature dwell far from the place I know so well.
Closer I came the more it grew my soul possessed its will withdrew.
Well hid behind a fallen tree beheld a soul-fleshed fantasy.

The Game Rules
Life is just a game to some, believing they decide who wins.
Judged by rules they create a hell for there own sin.
Still they play by there rules all tailored to better fit.
Dismissing the law made by the one whom in judgment sits.
Vainly they strive at the same time for a heavenly peace.
A fragile world is made in hopes the other will simply cease.
Foolishly they play a hand against he who holds the cards.
Conjuring up an awaiting fortune with not a single guard.
We come to the table with nothing and that is what we bet
If what you want is all...

TRY
Once it was a challenged soul who dared to see it all.
The terrible and the beautiful in everything he saw.
So great was his spirits will that time would give him heed.
But what was then and what will be did little for his need.
Perfection was the missing piece a treasured hidden part.
It’s presence loomed beyond the finish and just before the start.
Quietly it dwells within a stolen moment kept eternally.
To the distracted it is revealed but too late is when they see.
Only in the cries of babes is told of where to look.

I thought of you again today.
Some were things I wished to say.
Your heart knows well every word.
Still quiets so my voice is heard.
The sweet and funny things you've said.
Sooths the troubles in my head.
Gentle is your feel and touch.
A velvet grip that holds so much.
Thinking of your soft embrace.
And how your smile adorns your face.
The little things don't seem so small.
Reliving them I've kept them all.

A Wedding Verse
A whispering heart spoke to the soul,
“How beautiful you have become.”
Twice as radiant and so complete,
As the two spirits melt into one.
A journey to last only until forever,
With it’s first step made on this day.
Carrying one another when one grows weary,
Embracing each other along the way.
Divided by half are the pitfalls of life,
And all it’s hidden troubles.
What lies ahead is a blessed future,
And for each there happiness is doubled.
A man and woman they have become,
Gone now always is there childish past.

Who You Are To Me
I dreamed of hope I wished for chance.
While dwelling on bitter circumstance.
The darkness was replaced with a brighter day.
My troubles were taken when you took me away.
While cradling me you lifted me higher.
You attended my needs and my souls deep desire.
When what I have earned is foolishly lost.
You settled my debts in spite of the cost.
And in all the wasted forgotten years.
It was you who wiped away my tears.
When blind by doubt you've helped me see.
Somehow you've found something in me.
Of all the happiness that I have known....

Remains To Be Seen
You come to me but cannot see
and do not know I’m there.
For now you’re mine and for a time
you’ll stay within my care.
No need to wait I know you’re late
others are drawing your plans.
So near yet so far you aren’t and you are
in skillful and loving hands.
Naked and bare at peace you lie there
regretfully your rest is disturbed.
From vacant glazed eyes that wept mournful sad cries
to lips that won’t part for a word.
I’ll take what God gave a few more things to save
no pain and no loss will you feel.

Return With Me
Go,” he says and turns away.
Snow like tears she begs to stay.
Away must be, his sadness swarm.
Stay with her that she’ll be warm.
Swarm around him in my sleep.
Warm sweet lips she shall not keep.
Sleep his wish may wake some time.
Keep embraced while she is mine.
Time is frozen within his hold.
Mine this season she’s of the cold.
Hold so tight his warm strong hands.
Cold fractured ground where she stands.
Hands still gripped and won’t let go.
Stands, “Return with me.” In the snow.

Where have you gone no answer I hear.
But only a presence that lingers so near.
What seemed to be right always was wrong.
The weakness I see once made me feel strong.
Soul searching discovers my unworthy pride.
Truth breaches the wall that’s kept me inside.
Together held well within boarding frame.
Likeness visional and dreamt hardly the same.
No relief I feel against an icy cold touch.
You are to blame for so little as well as so much.
Desperately hid from judgmental gaze.
Remembering what was in earlier days.
