The dark places.
Empty words,
Falling on an empty heart
This same routine that I am so used to.
I long for a hint of passion
yet I feel so comfortable in my loneliness.
I could escape,
but would only end up here.
This shadow of mine,
dark and misshapen.
Has it's hold on me,
I let it hold me.
But in the moment.
When I realize how easy it is to go unnoticed.
If I could just disappear, you would never find me.
Because you would never look.
And because some things just don't matter.
Some things are better left alone. And forgotten.
