vested in a darkness deep
where whips and chains

seems strange to others
its all we know

Blue Moon
I walk in the pale blue moonlight
where shadows don disguise
for all is grey with casts of blue
where shadows cannot hide
I look for you in shades of blue
the color of your eyes
although you’re far and I’m alone
my memory suites me fine
these walks we took
will hold me for a time
as with every step
time is spent
bringing me closer to a day
where we’ll walk at night together
in the pale of the blue moonlight

eyes to the heavens
thoughts of the sea
and far away places
imagines a life
away from this place
new surroundings
to fill empty spaces
yearning for arms
to hold in the night
hearing the words
it’ll be alright
fantasy fires
it burns for another
whose life is in turmoil
perfect for each other
I want this for us
my choice no regrets
were clearly in love
there’s no second guess

causing you to pause.

I only know hearts heal as times passes,
sometimes slowly.
