POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I've just recently taken up the pen, and I aim to share all of my dark, philosophical, sociological, and observational thoughts with you
A man named Jacob
The sky always seemed golden
in the seconds before it was black...
Yet in a few moments,
my eyes would readjust to the darkness,
Luring me to gaze at thousands of different lights...
Although they were white,
They were made of Gold,
And after being in that darkness,
And seeing that clear light,
I succumbed to the twilight,
And lived each new day walking
in the shoes of a blind child...
in the seconds before it was black...
Yet in a few moments,
my eyes would readjust to the darkness,
Luring me to gaze at thousands of different lights...
Although they were white,
They were made of Gold,
And after being in that darkness,
And seeing that clear light,
I succumbed to the twilight,
And lived each new day walking
in the shoes of a blind child...

The man who was living in Dreams
I must commit a silent suicide
to wake me from this sleep...
So I drag my feet to the mirror,
A place I hope can set me free.
As my fingers grasp the sink,
I lower my head and pray for peace,
With a tear of pain in every blink.
But my heart is a gaping hole,
A cavity where regret extinguishes coal.
When memories are lost, and faith is forgotten,
I turn to Drugs to make me whole....
To make me feel...
To make me numb...
To let me know a façade of love...
To try and forget what I remember
To fight for myself as an...

Pathetic
The man in the black coat has done his deed,
At the floor, on my knees, I sit and slowly bleed.
Alone and unaware of who I am,
I bear thoughts of no normal man.
Let me be, please... just let me be.
I cant stand to move...
or fight back...
or breathe.
Im giving up hiding it,wearing that fake smile.
Im just going to let my mind go... andleave this place for a while.
I cant even rhyme these words very well..
But it doesnt matter.
It wont mean much in the end..
You'll be able to tell.
My eyes are closing now
My heart is slowing
I can...
At the floor, on my knees, I sit and slowly bleed.
Alone and unaware of who I am,
I bear thoughts of no normal man.
Let me be, please... just let me be.
