POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write because I have to, not because it's what's new or because I think it will get me anywhere in life.
Harsh Realities.
Dancing to the heartbreak
In tune with my shattered soul
As my world crumbles around me
I'm a reverse King Midas
Taking things that are considered gold
Turning them drab like coal
Forever ruining the magic once held
I'm that broken puzzle piece
Trying to blend in
To complete the beautiful picture
But my edges have been ripped, tattered and torn
Am I a dynamite stick?
Yeah, Maybe
I'm a fucking explosive, you lit the wick
Driving you crazy
I make myself sick
Go ahead and hate me
Traversing this gloomy...
In tune with my shattered soul
As my world crumbles around me
I'm a reverse King Midas
Taking things that are considered gold
Turning them drab like coal
Forever ruining the magic once held
I'm that broken puzzle piece
Trying to blend in
To complete the beautiful picture

An Ode to the Emo
Emo, emo, full of fail. Why do you slit your wrists so frail?
Emo, emo, you look lost. Remember, it's down the street, not across.
Emo, emo, oh so gay. Can't you see that life's not grey?
Emo girl, why do you cry?
Oh I'm sorry, from a distance I didn't know you were a guy.
With your skinny jeans, acting like other tards.
Oh yeah, nothing says sexy like sob stories, and feeble scars
Emo, emo, depressed again. OH what are the odds?
Are you sad because your parents didn't get you the newest iPod?
Emo, emo, why so glum?
You're young, dumb and let me...

Melancholy Dreamstate
I'm starting to face
That a part of this is fake
We love, we hate
And I find it so hard to relate
(I've... never ....felt ...like ....this)
Dancing to the rhythm of the heartbreak
Just another zombie walking
Through the heart ache
In this desolate landscape
(Every single night I close my eyes and make a wish)
I burn bridges to find warmth
From life's storms
My mind's torn
Painting false hopes so often
That I made it an art form
(Blow a kiss and hope it blows with the wind until it rests upon her lips)
...

Lost Soul
Bleary eyes open up to
A ghastly vision
Of a marred landscape
Cold, bleak, desolate...
Strangely familiar landmarks
Dot this grim setting
This isn't the first time
I have paid a visit
Right there is the sea of apathy
Where I learned how to swim, careless
In the distance I can see the well of mistrust
Where I drank until my thirst was satiated
Sitting behind barricades
I wonder how I got here once again
To my back, there is a house
So pretty, but so alone
I remember
I built this place brick by brick...
A ghastly vision
Of a marred landscape
Cold, bleak, desolate...
Strangely familiar landmarks
Dot this grim setting
This isn't the first time
I have paid a visit
Right there is the sea of apathy
Where I learned how to swim, careless
In the distance I can see the well of mistrust
