The Seasonal Facade

There is a place of darkened solitude,
Where souls that are dead seem to thrive,
To gather in this realm of black,
Not one will you find here alive...

For some this a season to celebrate,
For them, a festive time of the year,
With lights and trees and songs,
But to us it brings only tears...
†
Happiness is only a figment,
Nothing we could ever achieve,
No matter what others may tell you,
It is only for those who believe...
†
Our world dark and empty and black,
Shared only with those who have cried, ...
