POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Writing has been a coping mechanism for me for as long as I have been able to write. My friends and family have encouraged me to share my poems to a broader crowd, so here I am, and here is my heart.

On the doorstep
Slithering
Stuttering
Staggering
Missing the sounds of the river
Swaying thoughts of why
Within the argument of how
step back
Listen, the hardest thing to do
Listen
Feel the breath on the back of your neck
Slowly brushing across untouched canvas
I am with you
Painting vivid memories in your dreams
Feel me
Water crackling through rocks and twigs
Wind whistling through the branches of our roots
Listen to her echoing song

The Wanderer
Wanderers creep through the unlit streets
Less judging eyes under the gleam of the moon
Pondering what the next stop shall be
Montana
New York City
No where, yeah no where sounds nice
The wind whispering through memories of a time when home was confined to four walls
A time of false stability
When a belief still remained in hard work paying off
A time of "normalcy"
Losing everything in the blink of an eye
For what?
Rent Hikes, property tax, gentrification
No longer a single familiar face
The park where...

Jagged Moon
I stare upon her grace
As she stares right back at me
This darkened jagged moon
Hangs above the stillness of the sea
This darkened jagged moon
Feel a trance fall over me
Opens a mind full of wonder
I feel the lightning strike
Embrace the rolling thunder
Legs collapse to the ground
As if gravity has reversed
I hear the horror of every sound
From beneath the shrieking sadness I seem to have been cursed
Awakened by the sunlight
The water trickling down my face
I lift my weightless eyelids
To no longer see nights...

Before She Goes to Sleep
Before She Goes to Sleep
November 2, 2018
She woke up
Somehow she had missed the years going by
Waiting for the first gray hair, she can’t help but wonder how many more years there will be left for her
Although knowing she was still young, her body felt old
Living fast preparing to die young her whole life
For the first time she thinks
Maybe a smile that wrinkles would be beautiful
To see the years of laughter shining through the skin
Realizing that when she gets there, health will matter
Changing daily routines to...
