Beautiful People
There are the beautiful people out there
The ones that never really got a chance
To be anything else
Who's land was taken from them
Who were taken from their lands
Who slaved under hot suns
For hundreds of years
This is how you learn to sing
When all you can have is a song
Your heart sours on the words
And the sound is magic
There are magic people out there
Rain dancers and blues singers
Who help bring us back
To the world
The ones that never really got a chance
To be anything else
Who's land was taken from them
Who were taken from their lands
Who slaved under hot suns

Lost Monk
I worship you like the stone ideal gods of old
With the mask makers and the dream catchers
parading along the banks of river beds
Singing odd hems of when the south was pure
Before anything like man ever laid a foot
Upon its perishes soil
I travel and beg for food
Stolen with words
To fancy your favor
I interpret the madness
That plagues the soul
And give new meaning
To truth and wisdom
I sit naked in the temples
Preying for miracles
Crying for grace
Delighted by the sound
Of my own...

Transcend
Enough of this cheap crap
I hate and love you all
wondering about the bigger picture
I kill you without thought
Still caught in the physical?
I transcend all dimensions
This time is over for me
I wander the effervescence
Dream is the new awakening
brought down by the deluge
drowned in damnation
I swim in its makeup
challenging creation
I unmake the world
A word undoes it
destruction abound
never ending

Out of darkness
We seek the light
Like moths we fly
Toward enlightenment
Waxing waning overhead
The night's gentel ore
Gliding boat-like
through the stream
of space
Guiding our way
from shore to shore
Always back home

Hidden
As close as two boys could ever be,
To the Gods of thier bodies they gave thanks
Screaming out names with childish glee,
They made love as if commiting a prank
Sinking no deeper then commitments would allow,
Locked together were lip that shared thier secreat vow
Hiding a love that longed so to fly,
Like a murder of crows waiting
To take the sky.

Going round

My head
And this car
Is out of gas
Once again
I need new shoes
And a suit

Whisky morning
Had me a whisky
In the morning
And a bedtime
Afternoon
It was early
When the stars
Came out
They was a blinking
And a winking, and
Some of them were
Screaming
“Hey man, get out the way”!
“Look out”!
Took me a soupy
Noodle bath, getting
Laughed at by the pipes
And the lights were
Off by 9pm again
So now I’m walking
Down the street
And the city’s got a sweet
Way of swaying with
You like a friend
In the morning
