The End Before The Start
We met a while ago
I loved your smile & your ego
We talked everyday
Never a call, it was always a text
The chemistry was there
Unfortunate experiences, we were scared
We called ourselves friends
But really haven’t been straight
When we were together
We would forget about the world
Just us
So much in common
Jokes, laugh, we were always acting like clowns
And … All of a sudden – silence
No text, no care
Is it the end before the start?
Have you already broken my heart?

Grown
I know that you love me and are trying to protect me
But honey I’m a grown woman
I know that you saw me hurting when I was with him
But baby, thanks to him I finally became me
I’m a strong woman
Beautiful, talented & grown
I’m a strong woman
Baby I have grown
I fell down and picked myself up
Let go of my hand so I can make myself reach the top
You’ve done so much for me & trust me I appreciate it
But baby, I gotta be me
This path that I am on, it’s only my own
I’m still learning, still deciding

Over You
5 years you've been telling me how much you love me
But that did not stop you from putting your hands on me
3 years, you became a father to our daughter
But that did not stop you from leaving us to be with her
Baby I’m so over you, I’m really over you
Oh baby it took me a while but
I’m so over you, I’m really over you
You've proposed to me one night in this beautiful city
So emotional when I said yes, you finally had your princess
I was so in love, baby you were my king
But that did not stop you from punching me like you was in the ring

"This Flight"
Life is a never ending fight
The moment you was born was the moment you got into that long flight...
Economy is rough
Man! I have to find my way to the top!
God...Where is my baby daddy?
Oh yeah, this n***a is cheating cuz she has a 'sexy' body
No shit! N***a,I just had your baby!
Now I see him flying in first with her
Thanks to them papers he got thru our daughter
I took a step forward
Damn, why do I feel like a coward?
I can't do this shit, they be looking at me
Remember I'm just economy

Allies
Know that my feelings for you are not there anymore
Half way thru the storm, I decided to walk out the door.
Forget about how you feel... Just understand this pain in me
If only time could save us, if only we could stay focus
I would tell you all these words, you'll smile & I'll forget about the world
You'll take me into your arms, and I'll fall under your charm
But how can we built us on your lies?
We don't need enemies but allies.

Too many chances
Too many lies
Too many grudges
Too many lies...

He was younger & full of life
She was older & really wise
He was into art
She had a big heart
Thru a friend they met
And it all started with hate
Fashion, poetry & music, damn he was slick!
Fiction, chemistry & physics, damn she was a geek!
