Let It Be
I climbed this mountain... I got so high
Just to see why you make me cry
Coming down, I thought I was going to die
Oh, let it be... don't judge me, Oh, let it be
The path of destruction, you left behind
In all the wreckage... there's nothing to find
I hold onto the memories.. there just a waste of time

And I know... those times were good
With all the sunshine, I never understood
How I never saw the clouds

Here I Am
We been friends for life
We had our up and downs but never twice
I heard you got the news today
It's okay, I'm on my way
Held your hand
As you told me the test results
I hope you couldn't tell
I was breaking down inside as well
I'll be there, I'll go every mile
When you can't, I be your smile
Gonna go down to the alter
Bow my head and pray
Pray you'll find... find a sunny day
Guess I'll never understand
God's greater plan
I'd sell my soul
Just to take your place...

Four-Barrel Gone
It's two am
Me and jack been at it again
She never did like my friend
This time will be the end
I see her bags are packed
This time she won't look back
There's nothing I can say
That's gonna make her stay
At first morning light
She'll head for that Judge
And make things right
I chased her down the driveway and into the street
Just to find a yellow line a two black streaks
I heard that quadrajet moan
Cause my baby is four-barrel gone
She was born in sixty-nine
And knew how to red line
She...

Maybe I'm just too late
But then again maybe it was you
When I think about all the years
I wonder if they were true
Somehow I got lost in time

Boy Meets Girl
I saw you on frozen foods aisle
I bumped my cart into yours
Just to see you smile
But when I gazed into your eyes
I saw more than I could ever realize
So I took a chance
Asked you to the cotton festival dance
You said maybe I'll see you there
You walked away like you didn't care
Didn't need no Farmers Only .com to keep me from being lonely
Didn't need a Match. com to start a fire
Didn't need some E-Harmony.com to find my love song
Didn't need a hook-up from a friend of a friend to find mine
Just the magic when...

Beyond Your Looks
I wonder if you ever think of me
I'm so afraid to know
Sometimes I just can't let it be
Like a ship upon sea
Fighting a storm
From a red sky morning
I never see the warning
You gave more than you took
I could never see beyond your looks
Wished I took the time
To see your heart was mine
I never knew you where that strong
Was I wrong... so wrong
I miss the way you do
And how time was true

So Broken
Just trying to find myself
Here all alone, in the shadows
I just keep finding you
How did I get here
I haven't a clue
I'm lost in forever
A prison cell
I can't see the light for the darkness
I'm trapped in forever
I don't know where I end
And where you begin
You took all the pieces and left a hole
Your the only part of me that lives

The fall that made us fly

Where Love meets Hate
I wake from a silent scream
I only feel me when you dream
In the darkness I reach for your hand
I feel like I'm drowning in quicksand
Like being caught in a storm
I always feel free in the wind
But then again
Sometimes the rain is warm
This is where love meets hate
Lost in the crossroad
Wondering which road to take
You never show'd
I've been here before
Trying to even the score
Time moves way too slow
When you're trying to let go
Echoes of a empty heart beatin,
The sound of thunder when lighting cheatin'...
I only feel me when you dream

I hide my tears
So no one can see

The Glass
Today I feel so confused
My conscience seems to fade away
When I think about those days
I hate when I lose... and the way you misconstrue
You like feeling when you're holding all the cards
The queen of hearts is always standing guard
You take more than you give
Sometimes it hard to forgive
My hand covers yours... if it wasn't for the glass
I could feel more than the past
You turn my world upside down
The snow begins to fall that once was on the ground
You'll put me back on a shelf
I see your reflection in myself
I wish...

Whats in a tear...
Is it sadness
Is it happiness
Or fear
Does it fall from your eye
Roll down your cheek
Is it for a goodbye
Or when we meet
A tear for when we're wrong
From a song
From the beauty in someone's eye
Or when we die
Salty to the taste
They burn our face
Some say it's a sign of defeat
I say they make our life complete
