You were such an inspiration.
You knew how to make everyone laugh.
You always had a smile on your face.
You were so full of life.
Then shots rang out;

two
three
four
five
six.
Then life left your eyes.
Just like that this kindhearted brave person you were
was taken from this earth.
It's such a cruel thing, MURDER.
It makes you question it.
How can someone have so much evil in there heart
that they would take your life away.

The Journey
I look at my life and wonder.
How did I get to this place.
I use to be so happy and so carefree.
That's just the person I use to be.
Now I'm this fragile person filled with anxiety.
What happened to all my hopes and dreams I use to have.
Now they are just memories.
i'm haunted by the image of the person I have become.
A sad girl who just needs answers of why I am so afraid.
I'm afraid to let loose.
Afraid to leave these walls.
Afraid to escape and no it's the only way to
set me free back to reality.

I felt so alone and weak til I got down on my Knees.
Then I said god please I need you here for me.
To carry me when I am weak.
I know I have done wrong.
That much I can't change,
but I promise you from this moment on.

Coping
It's not easy learning how to cope.
Especially with things you don't understand or that you can't change.
It's just when you get to that place you have to learn to let go.
You tell yourself everything is gonna be okay.
That your gonna be fine.
You know that if you can do that the easier things will truly become.

My stomach is full of butterflies as I slip into my white gown.
I stop to take a glance in the mirror and I think to myself who is that beautiful women staring back at me.
The music begins, and I take a deep breath and think this is it.
I'm about to say I do and I chose you.

The preacher says who gives this bride away. My father says her mother and I do, and then he steps away.

It's crazy how things can change in a blink of an eye.
One day your 16 and then in a blink of an eye your 25.
Oh how it seems so crazy the this thing that we call life.
How you grow up and it seems like life is passing you bye.
Oh how I miss those days being a kid and going to your high school football game.
Oh how I miss those days late night sleepovers with best friends talking about the future.
How we couldn't wait to grow up now I'd give anything to have that time back.
It's crazy one minute your getting grounded arguing with your mother....

Give me peace
AS I sit around and wonder.
What's in store for me.
I look above to God my savior my king.
He sent his only son for you and for me.
To save us from our sins so we could live in eternity.
Live in the kingdom of Heaven. Live in his presence.
Our creator, our father.
I feel his presence and I am filled with the holy spirit.
Thank you Lord for today, thank you for you are my king.
You give me peace, you give me faith.
I'm filled with the truth and grace.
To know you will pick me up when I feel weak.

The Unknown
Its the unknown that I fear.
The things that don't seem clear.
What the future holds for me.
Will I make a difference before it's to late.
When I die will I be forgotten,
without leaving my mark on this world.
That's what I fear the most.

which path I will take.
