Ground Zero I; Building a Wall
When the end of things makes its way to the surface
I'll be here, teeth grit and bare,
White knuckled waiting for the inevitable
Will you be standing hand in hand with me?
Will you think about safety when the axis starts crumbling?
There are no choices. Only paths.
Mistakes were made but that's just bad memories.
We will not let this be what kills us
This is not our extinction point
Take the hand that hammers the nail
And fight back with it
Until it's them or us, because it's them or us, and we'll do the best we can, the best that...

New Year
In five minutes I'll still feel just as empty as I feel now. A new year, a new me. The best me that I can be. The best excuses and apologies I can shell out. Doesn't matter if I make it to 2020 or not. Just as long as the lie doesn't come out. Just as long as I can feel like I made it without asking for help. But I'll never tell. I'll never jump to the next step or the very edge. This is the spot I'll stay stuck at. Whether it's a brand new year or five or ten. I'll be right here wishing it wouldn't continue to happen. Wishing that the next step would make the floor cave in. So I can fall...

I'm nowhere and I'm still not here and I'm miles away and I'll be right here
But right now I'm not quite right right now

You were stuck in my throat and I was choking, hoping someone would save me
And I'm just saying. Im still drowning in you and I wont ever stop swimming through the shit that I used to do with you.
Its pointless to find something to distract me from

Dragging my body through the door
Eleven steps up
Theres just six or seven more
Six or seven left
Falling forever and never bored
My body's dying and my parents are trying their best
Six or seven fucking steps left
Keeping the party alive as best as I ever could
Trying our best and thats as good as it can ever get
Limping up the steps
Hurrying to fall face first onto my bed
Sleep until the headache goes away
And then sleep some more
Just six or seven more

Sin and die, no choice, no time.
Everything ends at some point in your life.
Let it go. Black smoke. Let it go.
Fuck no. I won't.
I can't be the one who says you're always right.
When you're right, you're right,
But having guts takes time.
Strong breaths. Pound your chest.
You can always fight.
Keep your problems to yourself and you'll do just fine.
Sink your teeth into your cheek and swallow all the blood
So no one ever knows you have such a hard time.
I just said I'm fucking fine.
Everything ends at some point in your life.

When the battery dies
Who will be
The spark that keeps this shit running?
Electricity coursing through
Magnetic current thats keeping you
Chained to the thing that youre attracted to
Why?
Why don't we drive ourselves
Why cant we follow a path that wasnt made by someone else?
Fate is an illusion
We're puppets dressed like sheep
Leading each other to poison
Hoping that it tenderizes the meat
That doesn't seem fucking fair to me.

Cold bones crawl around in the snow
Looking for shelter looking for warmth
Hold onto me and I wont let you go
Keep living the lie keep holding the phone
Waiting to see if there is any hope
But i know
Everythings temporary, I wont always be home
These feet are getting restless, i just wanna pack up and go
On my own
No more worry
No more what ifs
No more wasting my time
I dont want to keep living the lie.
