POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Canvas
He could’ve been my canvas,
Painted in passion,
Textures layered,
Colors reimagined.
Pigment replication,
Border sealed scene,
He had his Charisma,
I, left to dream.
Bristles run thin,
Shaky strokes glide,
Not much of a painter,
When a subject isn’t mine.

Anxiety
The mind consumes its worries,
Pity pulses the beat,
Shadows form fog and surround,
I live life down, against my feats.
I have passion,
There is strength and worth,
Stifled in my sternum, churning,
No direction to birth.
I’ll go numb,
Drop emotions wastefully,
Hunker down in isolation,
Anxious with my “about to be”.
Temples on a shiver,
My jaw milling out dust,
Words waving in scenarios,
I’m sweating out the trust.
Sipping on breath,
Muscles tied in knots and taut,
I’m looking...

Suzanna?
Weight pulls my tears
The beard weaves them through,
Thoughts of a sibling
And who she's become.
My niece and nephew?
Their personalities blossoming,
I've known not of separation,
Imagining an awakening,
Their love is just a dream.
What to ask? Yet what to say?
Am I who she recalls?
Am I "her brother" to say?
Could we laugh about our faults?
Is she strong and free?
A pioneer to be?
Or hopeful and wishing,
Wanting to be out to sea.
I pray for a connect,
I kneel in regret,

Our fill of space
Deliberate, patiently in place,
Seclusion to an illusion, in the midst of space.
Contempt, in a sense, of a position,
Provoked and jealously soaking condensation.
A sanction or sensation, to portray elation,
Interpreting joyful positioning to habitable habilitation.
Oh hell to creation, and the scientific documentation,
Sectioning people off under specific identification.
Labeling description to precise affiliation.
Judgment of life under merit through who?
Me and you?
A blank-faced bruise awaits all of you,
Who intake this knowledge...

Until It's Gone
Under the trembling reflections,
My eyes caught a glance.
Curious of its seduction,
My hand plunged for it's chance.
The feeling caused a capture,
My hand constricted.
Curious of it's figure,
My eyes failed to depict it.
Peaking through my pinky,
I was more blind than before.
My spirit improved without reasoning,
There was more to explore.
My thumb slowly revealed,
Nothing but myself.
Such a small object sealed,
A charming hearty wealth.
Three left to go,
Concerned for what I must see.
My hand lashed...

Self Destruction
Interpretations through my mind are specialistic,
Decoded and defined as cryptic,
Presumed deadly borderline sadistic,
For portraying ideas in realistic-
-Views that choose to confuse,
Cognitive thoughts in mid-abuse,
A purgatory-like state from Dr. Sues,
Brain's malicious weight from over use.
Used, past dues, and fading thin,
Fingertips pressed firm, bone through skin,
Minds chalked up, shimmed within,
Barricade built tough, but ah, a pin.
Yanked with a pull, sparked bright,
Smoke spouted out, streamline tight,
Simmer on...

Commit Innocence
I want you to commit innocence to me,
Confident and sturdy at your mark.
Bare truth with, and discover dreams,
Never end our future to embark.
Play life outside the bubble,
And roll an infinite dice.
Never skip a space in trouble,
In fear of repeating it twice.
Succeed with me, dance and sing,
I'll embarrass you to life.
We can yell, fight, and scream!
About how we want to survive.
Be ambitious and emphatic,
Possess all of your desires.
We'll defy all the static,
And couple all the wires.
I'll weigh you down...
Confident and sturdy at your mark.

Always an Entree
There's a stain upon my plate,
Unobserved when viewed.
Discovery would heave weight,
Unfortunately i'm never nude.
Disinfected then rinsed,
Dried and set.
Concealed with pleasing elegance,
And garnished with regret.
Devoured by those I know,
Smeared in grease.
Back alone I go,
To cleanse for tomorrow's feast.
Your not allowed at my sink,
I can't trust you to see me bare.
My purest form, in such a blink,
Could reveal my impure wear.
Unobserved when viewed.

Compass
Caverned deep in my skull,
Where natural thoughts Dwell,
Is a pool of thought,
My true directional plot.
A bubble of emotion,
Will surface a small stem,
To pluck out a feeling,
And pursue my hearts pleading.
Tho, as of lately,
The depth is lengthy,
It swirls and churns,
Its production, they're words.
Words that jumble,
They confuse and mumble,
Bitter and blunt,
I'm at a loss of what they want.
The surface, it steams,
It's lost it's gleam,
A smokey smog behind my eyes,
A reflection of my soul's...

A Shape of Me I Want to Set Free
An echo of my sight,
Shaped from light.
A mimic of my motion,
In true projection.
In dense rain or snow,
From head to toe.
Your the past of my mass,
And my negative glow.
Yet in darkness your black,
Or gone, in fact.
Without proof I wonder,
Strike a match and ponder.
Let you fade in your shade,
Be free of my state.
Spark you back to my mold,
Some demons are meant to hold.
Where you go in the black,
Is the code I want to crack.
Yet when no shape is upon me,
Perspective is all I hope to see.
Shaped from light.
A mimic of my motion,
In true projection.
In dense rain or snow,
From head to toe.
Your the past of my mass,
And my negative glow.
Yet in darkness your black,

A Dead Night to Live
Tonight we masquerade,
For a shadowed past's sake,
And believe in a date,
Hallowed on fate.
Portraying spirits,
With provoking lyrics,
At the height of penance,
Or so deemed by remembrance.
Yet mystery laced within,
An opportune evening to sin,
Interpret wrongs to whim,
And darkness chants it's hymn.
Under a reflection's beam,
The evening has a glint, or gleam,
Excitement in the phantom of death,
Seeking life from those who rest.
For a shadowed past's sake,
And believe in a date,
Hallowed on fate.
Portraying spirits,
With provoking lyrics,
At the height of penance,
Or so deemed by remembrance.
Yet mystery laced within,
An opportune evening to sin,
Interpret wrongs to whim,
And darkness chants it's hymn.
Under a reflection's beam,

Excitement in the phantom of death,
Seeking life from those who rest.

Thoughtless Drowning
Split your whisper into half a breath,
Then strain each decibel to mimic death,
Adjust any keys, and mono the sound,
Left with your gaze is a moral way to drown.
Submerged above alluring opinions,
Inhale silence, exhale feelings,
Numbing effects elicit tranquility,
Spaced between public reality.
Lightly, the mind, it briefly glides,
Surfaced again from wiggly eyes.
Then strain each decibel to mimic death,
Adjust any keys, and mono the sound,
Left with your gaze is a moral way to drown.
Submerged above alluring opinions,
Inhale silence, exhale feelings,
Numbing effects elicit tranquility,
Spaced between public reality.
