Dear pen you write my right and wrongs and paint them blue and black,
you settle in my fingertips as a friend though at times because of you my paper counts a million blanks , why?
because my paper,
Dear paper every time I failed you, you left a lighter smell of yourself on my desk,
you left a bitter taste on my tongue from running through pages still trying to find a better place to rest,
you calculate my little best,
Dear calculator you count my mistakes,
because no x and y has ever been a demon paved on your face,
you have left fist marks and...

A man exists
I heard you believe in nightmares, and the monsters walk past you every day, the last time you saw a man was when your father held you in his arms , the smell of his suit and tie has taken your heart into a lonely place,until your mind looped in time complicating all the reasons why you should forget he found a deeper place,
The first time you saw a monster you grew jitters at back of your spine, and bended slowley to the curves of the gun hole,
You endured the density of his last faith as he awaited spirit up and man down,
You were just a little girl tears falling down, ...

I have seen the shades of my inner skin, hiden deep in the confines of Gods purpose, my voice disgusted by distant echoes of gun shots, handshakes left me paralyzed, smiles on they faces yet no one gives a damn when a black woman cries,
I have seen the shades of my inner skin,
I have found no words to give myself, deep beneath I have kept a person a lion to swallow my pride I have kept a light to strong it has never seen the simplest matter of shade,
