POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
The mills.
Day after day
Each one is the same
Left out in the weather
With litle protection
My body is sore
And hot with infection
In the freezing cold
Or searing heat
With nothing but wire
Beneath my swollen feet
My food bowl is empty
My water dish dry
What did I do?
Please tell me why
The litters come
And the litters go
Where do they take them
I don't know
This is a horrible game
I have no home
Not even a name
No one to love me
No one to care
No one to bathe me
And brush my hair
My teeth are rotting...
Each one is the same
Left out in the weather
With litle protection
My body is sore
And hot with infection
In the freezing cold
Or searing heat
With nothing but wire
Beneath my swollen feet
My food bowl is empty
My water dish dry
What did I do?
Please tell me why
The litters come
And the litters go
Where do they take them
I don't know
This is a horrible game
I have no home
Not even a name
No one to love me
No one to care
No one to bathe me
And brush my hair
My teeth are rotting...

A beast in the night
There's a beast.
He only prowls at night.
Feasting on the souls of lovers.
Zombies they become.
Crawling in the depths of the night.
Looking, for someone new.
Limbs of the deceased scattered.
A young man.
His next victim.
Dragged into the arms of the beast.
Eaten alive.
Another soul, gone.
We must stop this beast.
Before our race is gone.
One by one, into the stomach of this beast.
Men, women of all ages.
He cannot be stopped.
He only prowls at night.
Feasting on the souls of lovers.
Zombies they become.
Crawling in the depths of the night.
Looking, for someone new.
Limbs of the deceased scattered.
A young man.
His next victim.
Dragged into the arms of the beast.
Eaten alive.
Another soul, gone.

Before our race is gone.
One by one, into the stomach of this beast.
Men, women of all ages.
He cannot be stopped.

Thoughts
I sit alone in my room; no emotion in sight.
My mind wonders freely; happily.
In my room, with nothing but a bay window and a window seat,
I sit, and think, and dream, and wonder.
I would be in my own world,
making my own sense out of things.
Happily sitting in my dark room lit only by the grey light coming from the outside world.
As the rain peacefully falls from the sky,
not knowing where it will land,
just living in the moment of falling.

Stars
Perhaps they are not stars in the sky,
but rather openings where our loved ones look down
to let us know they are okay.
but rather openings where our loved ones look down
to let us know they are okay.

True Love
I remember the look in your eyes as you stared up at me motionless lying in the tall grass.
You were looking up at me playfully I knew exactly what you were thinking.
We ran hand in hand down the open field.
We stopped to cross a stream,
"is it okay to cross?" I would ask you."It should be."
you`d replied.
Taking my hand you guided me across the stream,
slipping you pick me up in your arms and carry me.
Looking deep in to my eyes,
saying "I love you."
without a sound.
You swirl me around placing me gently back on the ground. ...

Faster
Sitting in car, driving.
Faster, faster.
Passing trees, fields, houses.
Faster, faster.
Stop sign, no time to stop.
Faster, faster.
Car stops, brakes squeal.
Twisting, turning, tumbling.
Crashing, screaming, crying.
Sirens.
Closed eyes, forever.
Faster, faster.
Passing trees, fields, houses.
Faster, faster.
Stop sign, no time to stop.
Faster, faster.
Car stops, brakes squeal.
Twisting, turning, tumbling.
Crashing, screaming, crying.
Sirens.
Closed eyes, forever.

It's just me.
Lay in my bed, eyes closed, mind open.
Thinking, thinking.
The only thing flowing throught my head is the sound of sweet music.
Under my blankets, door closed, peace and quiet.
Could this night get any better?
Window open, birds chirping.
Blue jays, robins, cardinals.
Their chirps flow to the beat of my music.
Thinking, thinking.
Lay in my bed, eyes open, mind closed.
Thinking, thinking.
The only thing flowing throught my head is the sound of sweet music.

Could this night get any better?
Window open, birds chirping.

Thinking, thinking.
Lay in my bed, eyes open, mind closed.

Left-Overs
I can’t think about you or live my life without you, there was so much more to see if only you would come back to me. You said we could be together, you said it would be forever, you told me it would never end, but those were all lies; I could see it in your eyes. You were using me for her, but it’s worked, you`ve won her over. Now I’m left-over, no one to love no one to care, my hearts full of despair, but I don’t care, I watch you guys walk down the street with all the love you guys share. Looking back at me, I’m nothing compared to you, you’ve got your arm around her; bet you feel like...
