POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I love quirky imagery painted in sleek words. Subtle, witty, descriptive verses are my favourite. Poetic discipline and control have parts to play; as do regular visits to the gorgeous ink shop .

Seeing the Rain
If they do not know what it is to see
The rain from my window, then they will miss
The way you have me held, yet fast and free;
And take the rainfall in as you'd take bliss;
Snow falls, as do my letters stained with tears;
Sleet does not know what it is to see:
The undeliverable: those winter fears
That will not permeate: best leave them be;
Who'd mend the jigsaw, after lost souls flee?
Who'd repair damage in the aftermath,
If they do not know what it is to see
The pleasure in my eyes, at your bold laugh?

Becoming Poetry
In his hands I became romantic verse;
I never wanted more because I felt
The tension in his voice that was so terse,
Commanding me with every sobriquet,
He knew would turn me on and make me sense
The power at his disposal; as we dreamed
And loved and lusted through to recompense.
He made me shun rewards, until I'd creamed
Around the meaty predilections posed,
By yearnings that my impulses soon shared:
Salacious to the core that he disclosed,
Through revelations, that only he dared
To murmur, as I came: the sweetest curse
That he...

Love Hurts
It hurts to move; it hurts to speak, to breathe;
To realise, with every single breath,
She might exhale her requiem and death
Will still the room she lights, with silent ease.
If she is now the centre of attention,
Where, once, she was the flower on the wall.
She's not so shy sans shadow, so they stall
The recollection. Yet, it's worth a mention.
They eulogise; they pray; they keen. They fear
Intensity can never be surpassed;
The air exudes raw tension; love exerts
A dreadful pressure. Time is drawing near ...

Bitter Seas
A bitter sea will crash against the cliff,
As hungry seagulls surf the foaming waves.
The sky is grey and dull; it can't uplift
My spirit: I'm despondent. Rain behaves
As if it wants to drown me. Sea-swept salt
Mingles with tears to lacerate the cheek
Of one who finds herself surely at fault.
With all my future seemingly so bleak,
When the harsh gusts of wind blow salt-drenched hair,
They'll freeze the scalp and chill all that's exposed.
But this won't stir my coma - I won't care.
For raucous screams must willingly dispose
