POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I once used to think poetry was gay and pathetic, then I realised that it wasn't me thinking that but my ego-tistical father. Poetry is strenght, poetry is power. With-out it, I would probably be dead by now.
Joy-less Pain
I can remember,
A thousand memories of pain
But to what gain?
I sit here today
With a tear-streaked face,
And a sore nose
My heart beating so fast,
I feel it might explode
Just what am I meant to do,
Abandon ship, abandon all hope?
For when these rivers of pain flow,
They flow fast without care
Because I once reached out
A hope filled hand,
Only to be rejected and refuted
So now where do I turn?
My father, abandoner,
My mother, also
My family, they just don't want to know
Branded a liar...
A thousand memories of pain
But to what gain?
I sit here today
With a tear-streaked face,
And a sore nose
My heart beating so fast,
I feel it might explode
Just what am I meant to do,
Abandon ship, abandon all hope?
For when these rivers of pain flow,
They flow fast without care
Because I once reached out
A hope filled hand,
Only to be rejected and refuted
So now where do I turn?
My father, abandoner,
My mother, also
My family, they just don't want to know
Branded a liar...

Winterscape Soul Mate
I can see you running
Through these midnight-lit,
Fields of ice
Beneath the barren trees,
And over the shadow-dappled ground
You lope
But to where do you run,
Towards me, or away from me?
My heart craves an answer,
But I think that my soul already knows
Your thick black fur,
Glistens with with ice-crystals
As you race,
Across the moon kissed snow
Your power, your lethal grace,
All of these things I see
All of these things, I embrace
And oh, how I long to be
Not just an observer,
But to be right...
Through these midnight-lit,
Fields of ice
Beneath the barren trees,
And over the shadow-dappled ground
You lope
But to where do you run,
Towards me, or away from me?
My heart craves an answer,

Age Of Innocence
Oh how I wish that I had never turned seven
I wish that I could go back to the days,
When my young life was filled with a childish joy and exuberance
For my days where long, and filled with a golden joy,
The joy of the innocent, and those pure of heart and soul
Now seventeen, and oh, how I ache...
For so long, TOO long,
I ignored the past, ignored the pain
The pain that lurked deep within me,
Staining my soul, and wearing away my joy
When I think back to those early days,
I remember loving my mother, loving my father, and loving the world...
I wish that I could go back to the days,
When my young life was filled with a childish joy and exuberance
For my days where long, and filled with a golden joy,
The joy of the innocent, and those pure of heart and soul
Now seventeen, and oh, how I ache...
For so long, TOO long,

The pain that lurked deep within me,
Staining my soul, and wearing away my joy

I remember loving my mother, loving my father, and loving the world...

Slip Away Softly
Oh how I long for freedom
To push past my boundaries,
To snap my silver chains
To feel them slip,
Slip away...
As I run, bound and play
Underneath the summer sun,
Each and every day
I reflect, upon my past
I look back,
And begin to run too fast
I run and I run and I run,
Trying to escape the past
Broken hearted,
A shattered soul
I can not take,
One more hit
One more blow,
Nor one more blast
From my past
I struggle to survive,
But I struggle harder to live
For I can see myself,
Slipping...
To push past my boundaries,
To snap my silver chains
To feel them slip,
Slip away...
As I run, bound and play
Underneath the summer sun,
Each and every day
I reflect, upon my past
I look back,
And begin to run too fast
I run and I run and I run,
Trying to escape the past
Broken hearted,
A shattered soul
I can not take,
One more hit
One more blow,
Nor one more blast

I struggle to survive,
But I struggle harder to live

The Tides Of Life
(This poem I wrote a few years ago)
Lovers walk upon,
The beaches of time,
Gently treading, treading,
Treading the sands of life
Pondering why,
Why there is so much strife,
And how ones luck can change, change,
On the flip of a dime,
How misfortune,
Can leave you feeling sick, sick,
And as green as a lime
Together, they glance out,
Out, across the bone white sand
To where the mighty whales breach,
In an eternal pull
Against the rip tides,
Of the everlasting,...

Flying Solo
I'm empty on the inside
All cold and dead,
With a heart of lead
Standing alone
I long for a place,
For my heart to own
This world is mine,
Or so I was told
Not that it matters,
'Cos I'm flying solo,
Flying solo, flying solo
Yeah, yeah, ohh yeah,
Flying solo
Atop this hill I stand,
A pinnacle of loss,
Of pain, of misery and fear
And all these things, yeah
Yeah, they are always near
I look out on the world
With my pain-filled eyes,
And I can see,
With my tortured soul
Each and...

The power within
Angry, broken, sad and confused,
Hurt and lost
With way to many memories,
Of all of the abuse
I punch and kick,
I Claw and I scream
At the emotional and physical,
Walls that surround me.
Tired of fighting
Tired of the past,
Used to being alone
My tears run cold
My heart-beat slows
At the epi-center of a hurricane I stand,
Lashed by winds that scream continuously at me,
‘‘You’re worthless! You are nothing, will never be anything!’’
My skin-whipped raw by the pelting rain,
Hitting so hard
My skin turns red...
Hurt and lost
With way to many memories,
Of all of the abuse
I punch and kick,
I Claw and I scream
At the emotional and physical,
Walls that surround me.
Tired of fighting
Tired of the past,
Used to being alone
