Tidily Bits I & II
I
It starts and ends with a handshake;
If you are wise then you know my meaning.If you are foolish then you will soon find out.
Alone in the night I dost walk these streets of cobbled Maine.
In hopes of finding a sweet retreat this countenance shall refrain.
Alas the darkness shields me from wandering piercing eyes
And although the weak shall be weary I still will my disguise.
Those above me reckon that I revere them the same
Those below me shrink to the bottoms that can't be named
I alone walk this chosen road,amongst the dwindling light

I should probably tell you I’m in pain
I should also tell you that it isn’t your fault
Even if you think it is.
I should probably tell you that I don’t blame you
Because you really couldn’t do anything about it-
No matter how much you thought you could.
I should probably also tell you that I am getting by
But that would be a lie- every day is a struggle
And you know the most about challenge.
I am sorry that I pushed you away.
I am sorry that I let you go.
I am sorry that I didn’t fight like you.
