It burns like a match;
hot and relentless,
but only for a moment.
Then it leaves as fast as it came.

Alter-egos
I went to see my psychiatrist the other day. I told him exactly how I was feeling, wondering what he'll say. He must have forgotten his purpose, because all he did was write a prescription to take my feelings away. WHO SAID I WANT TO FEEL NOTHING AT ALL? All I asked for was advice on how to cope with the falls. This got me thinking. This epidemic is all too common now: the attempt to escape through temporary vows.
