POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My verses are destitute beyond measure,Tortured soul ad infintum, they once catered to it's pleasure. You read this, and you would've already missed valediction's bus,So,if I follow sado-masochism,about what, then,is the big fuss?
Imtihaa
Kaarvaa jo chal pade khayaaloan ke safar ke sang,
Sawaal leke raahoan mein jo dhoondhtein nayee umang,
Jo bhaavnaaoan ke bhavar mein bhi rahe thoda judaa,
Kehtey huey “amma amma”, aatey...

Inconceivable Loss of Amanat
When the throbbing heart ceased to sustain the flow of life,
And the entire nation was thrown in to a moment of strife,
Regressive albeit ‘Incredible India’ embraced another incentive,
To strive and seek flimsy pretexts for its faults to forgive.
The distress, agony, and the plight that Amanat had to endure,
Is ironically inadequate for it still is at a loss to cure,
The malady that besets the inveterately venal statesmen,
While the malefactors savour the shelter of the lion’s den.
An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind,
Thus comes...

PROCLIVITIES REVERSED ON TENTERHOOKS
Huddled up impressions, when they actuate your appetite,
Only to discover diligence, short of being erudite,
Still kindred predilections strike a symphony and discord,
Albeit,to me obsequious, for I am their sovereign lord.
There might be some, teeming with appellations,
For others, value judgement, seems to settle the equations,
And though we merely have the opposite of what we sought,
Yet,I cannot forbear,to serve your food for thought.
Normative it is, with no rival thus far,
In earnest none, while in farce,a few, there are,
When...

EASIER SAID THAN DONE....
Live this moment as if it were your last,
Resist thoughts on future and dwellings on your past,
Endeavour to savour both the sob and the smile,
For only change is constant;rest everything is,but, for a while...
Don't get dampened by the mere clouds that you see,
Soon they shall be dispelled and light there will be,
Learn the essence of life to find ecstasy in sorrow,
Live for today;for who knows there may be no tomorrow...

A CAMARADERIE NONPAREIL...
Of two cronies, I intend not to speak for that is anything but true,
And yet the ones I mention here can be deemed likewise,
So while the father remains the oasis for beatitude to accrue,
The girl, her daughter and the lighthouse, comes indeed as a surprise...
Their camaraderie, the like of which, has never been seen before,
Is full of mirth and jape for undermining parental and filial lore,
The coarse and vulgar banter that finds a dearth in shame,
The "Oh, my God!" becomes what I dare not name...
The innumerable challenges have only...

My Take On An Epitaph...
When alive, a corpse,in death now I shall live,
The only few things I wanted, that life could never give,
Gave everything else, gracious that it was,
To me an anathema,at best a lost cause...
Parody, travesty and derision of what I desired,
Of the opposite banter,I had indeed grown tired,
So away from sorrow, misfortune and the affront I received,
I embraced death for being perpetually well deceived...

THE LENT WITHOUT EASTER...
When the world converged all in to one,
There could I find sweet repose and delight,
When again I could see the morning sun,
The stultification and ennui ceased to fight...
However, the lighthouse is too far away,
To keep all and sundry forever at bay,
And little did I know that Easter was precluded by the Lent,
Behold how my life got what it never meant...
Was this, then,Accursed Maker, the sheer travesty of life,
Where Cupid's misdirected dart shall never win,
If it be so,I am dead already with this strife,
For outwardly do I live but I am dying...
There could I find sweet repose and delight,
When again I could see the morning sun,
The stultification and ennui ceased to fight...
However, the lighthouse is too far away,
To keep all and sundry forever at bay,
And little did I know that Easter was precluded by the Lent,
