POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I am 49 years old and have published a novella last year. I enjoy poetry with an interest currently in romance and erotica.
Dare I
Dare I?
Should I?
I opened the door
Not a sound
He is sleeping
Silence.
Dare I?
Should I?
My jeans slip to the floor
My tshirt lies on the bed
Dare I?
Should I?
Naked I lift the cover
His scent.
Dare I?
Should I?
I lay in his bed
Reach out to touch
Dare I?
Should I?
His eyes open
And he kisses my lips
I gasp and groan
Embracing, feeling
Lustful, wanting.
Dare I?
Should I?
I dared and I should.
Should I?
I opened the door
Not a sound
He is sleeping
Silence.
Dare I?
Should I?
My jeans slip to the floor
My tshirt lies on the bed
Dare I?
Should I?
Naked I lift the cover
His scent.
Dare I?
Should I?
I lay in his bed
Reach out to touch
Dare I?
Should I?
His eyes open
And he kisses my lips
I gasp and groan
Embracing, feeling
Lustful, wanting.
Dare I?
Should I?
I dared and I should.

The phonecall
The Phone call
She holds the phone in her hand
She gasps horrified and starts to stand
Her heart beating fast within her chest.
This she thinks is one big mess.
I didn’t hear she begins to say
I don’t understand, he was here yesterday
Her mind drifts to the day before
Checking just to be sure
Her husband smiling and chatting, making tea
Why? Why would he do this to me?
She cannot believe what is being said.
The police officer saying he is dead.
This is not right, she cannot make it out
Until she knows for sure she continues to...

What am i?
I glance in the mirror what do I see,
There is a stranger looking at me
The daughter, the wife, the mother,
The carer, the worker, the lover
But
Who am I?
I can’t seem to find out
Filled with uncertainty and self doubt
Not the confident girl I recall
Not the assertive woman standing tall.
but
Where am I?
At a point when I need to change
A stilted life to rearrange
To find the girl with a smile on her face
A new life to embrace.
But
What will I do?
Change my image, I think
To put in the missing link...

Voices
Hush, voice in my ear
Can’t you hear?
Noise inside my head
Loud, quiet, dread!
What? What did you say?
No, No leave me go away!
Thunder, clatter in my brain.
Halt, no more not again
Leave, stop can’t you see!
Why are you doing this to me?
Follow, Follow who?
Don’t know what to do
Whisper, whisper in my ear
Leave me. I’m not here.
Where, where to go?
Stop. Stop I said no.
Why, why what to see?
Why are you doing this to me.
Wait, wait for them
Are they getting me again
Did I say that? Maybe yesterday...

Strapped
Strapped
My arms outstretched, my legs apart
On my back, a compliant tart.
He touches my breast and I groan in ecstacy
I try to arch my back but I am bound by he.
He teases my nipples with his tongue,
He draws it out to make it long
He trails his fingers around my thighs.
I let out groans and sighs
He places his fingers in my wet
I pull on the ropes but not yet.
He nibbles my clit, I move again
Bound I cannot take the strain
He slides his tongue deep inside
I need to move
But I am tied

The meeting
She sat opposite him with coffee to drink
Didn’t really know what to think
His eyes blue looking her way
Lost for words, not knowing what to say
Arms draped around her
Tense moment they share
Tongues entwined
Battle of the mind
Shivers race down her spine
Just a matter of time
Passionate kisses as they embrace
Fast, breathing , heart race
Touch of skin to skin
Searching delving, deep within
Slow, slow, then explode
Ready to release the load
Breathing slows then a sigh
A faint groan then a cry.
Stop, stop...

Gypsy prince
Their eyes meet across the blank space
A moment in time and space
Transfixed, unable to avert her gaze
Pulse fast, heart ablaze.
She reaches out to touch his hand
Impromptu, unplanned
She stands still, thoughts whirling in her head
Not speaking words unsaid
This dark secret to hold
Never mentioned untold
Their bodies touch
She aches so much
Clap of thunder, flash of light
Then together holding tight
Slipping sliding moments embrace
Wanting feeling heart race
Stop her head says
This cannot go on
But now the...
