Ball and chain
Am I going insane?
Am I losing my mind?
I’ve got this ball and chain
I’m caught in a bind.
Is this love true?
Or just some mad feeling?
All I ever see is you
And that’s got me reeling
I can’t help but wonder
How your kiss would feel
I can’t help but ponder
If your touch is real
Your eyes have me held
And fighting seems daft
Your voice has me felled
Drowning without raft
But I don’t know if you see
What you’re doing to me
This love can never be
So I beg you to please set me...

Saving a life
I can see it all laid out before me
Seems no other way that it could be
Just another life gone off the tracks
Just another bout of anxiety attacks
Some people don’t want to be saved
Pressure, pain, inwards he's caved
All I have to offer is warming words
They matter less than twittering birds
When that dark hound comes at you
It's impossible for others to break through
How can you change a mental state?
How can you save a life, before it’s too late?
Seems no other way that it could be
Just another life gone off the tracks

Water Maiden
Under dappled moonlight
I saw her bathing there
This awe inspiring sight
Of this maiden fair
Her hair of spun gold
Cascaded down her back
She stood both proud and bold
A beacon amidst the black
In the moon’s glow
Her skin an ethereal hue
All of her did show
And a hunger in me grew
I waded in the water
Heedless of the wet
