My name is joseph I discovered I was a poet in 09 and ive been writing ever since. I plan to get my poems published once I feel ive writen enough. I welcome comments and constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy!

The Me Inside of Me
I know there's a me in side me.
He's the real me.
But me...
im not me. He is.
Inside the void waiting.
Ever turning.
ever growing.
Glowing.
He sits in meditation, eyes closed yet seeing all things.
He's a poet. He's a prophet.
His eyes are portals into the infinite.
When you look into his eyes.. you know that he knows that you knows he knows.
Yet he knows that he nows nothing.
Nothing knows him too.
yet when he looks upon nothing he sees something.
No. He...
He's the real me.
But me...

There are words that can not be translated into any language known by man
If these words should make a poem
Only the trees will understand
There are colors that the eye cant see
That emanates from you and me
When we drift to the land of dreams
We find out what life really means
There are places deep inside our minds
Thats seldom people seek or find
They say "i see" but in fact are blind

Words of Wisdom
Does not wisdom cry?
And understanding put forth her voice?
Her lips shall not produce a lie
To listen or not is your choice
Unto you, oh men, i call.
And my voice is to the sons of man
Oh ye simple, wisdom understand: And ye fools be quick to take her hand. For she will show you something grand.
Wisdom has built her house
She has hewn out her seven pillars
Her pillars of fire illuminates the desires
Of all of King Solomon's builders
Receive...

Mysterious Sexy Woman
Mysterious sexy woman
Walkin cross the street
Just the type of girl
That every man would like to meet
When she sways her hips from left to right
Apple bottom jeans so tight
She causes the eyes of men to spark
And like a flame ignight
Thats right those dangerous hips of hers
Will most likely start a fight
And when she sways her hips from right to left
Its likely to cause death
Id fight a thousand men for her
So theres no competition left
She gets...

From the sky there fell a drop
Atop my head
My head atop
A drip a drop

The Dancer
She walks on the shore of a crimson ocean the cruel suns dying rays of
light reaching out to the horizon as far as it can while sinking slowly
under the distant peaks of the beyond.
Sulking clouds roll out above his descent like a shroud. While the moon
she hangs like a sad portrait blood read in the water half emerged as
she bled. Soft wind whispers in my head an ancient story of a time far
gone.
A time of purity and truth. The wind tugs at her tattered dress while
she dances between a tremendous column of scarlet fire. Singing a
syren's...

The Madness Within
I feel it welling up inside
Consuming my soul
Burying me under a catastrophic tide
There's nowhere i can go
There's nowhere i can hide
From this constant degredation stripping away my pride.
Faild attempts morph me into a pathetic twisted wreck
I try to walk away but still its breathing down my neck
Horrors in my mind collect
Condensation forming beads of sweat
Dripp dripp dripping to protect
My body from burning while fear infects
Every orifice of my mind and intelect

The Raven's Lamentation
Will i ever see you again?
Will our paths ever cross?
My heart can not survive
Such a devastating loss
You shined into my life
like a ray of purest light
And somehow i just knew
Everything would be alright
Because you wrapped your arms around me
And my heart collapsed from love
And even though youre gone
Youre still my radiant dove
And I dont know weather
A raven and a dove can be together
But i know that for a while
We were two birds...

Do i have the voice?

Four Months Too Late
All my life ive wanted love
Evry night i prayed for it
And when unexpectedly it came
I treated it like it was a game
And in the end i payed for it
She doesnt know me anymore
In fact she sees right through me
I left her heart cold on the floor
Now ill get whats coming to me
What have i gone and done
I gave her up for what?
Being single isnt fun
In fact it fucking sucks
They say you never kno what you have untill its gone
Now i know this...
