misunderstood person who blends in so well but yet stands out so much. I’m a deep person so I write poetry as a way to put my complicated thoughts on paper.

Housed on unsteady grounds
Shy on the attempt to bring up sharing space
Knew it’d be possible based on the feel
Came in reality & realized it wouldn’t be
caked
Understood early the table talks would be often to clear air
The perfect plan didn’t include taking accountability but gripping responsibility
Run it right & there’ll be help to it continue but run it the opposite & it may run over you
(Go steady when feeling the blues)

Car viewed eye Candy selected
Before there was a seat to sit in you were comfortable walking.
We locked eyes with mutual intentions & we moved in.
Drove with sole independency actions became submissive w/o request.
Sit back & watch them look a bit harder on purpose & marvel.
No longer walking place to place & it’s just the tip of what berg.
Nothing to put the world at your feet but let world in & you’ll use your feet to walk.
(Driving past the passenger looking away)

Position of credibility
On uncommon grounds we stood face to face with our desires
Against my judgment we were inseparable & the pattern became habitual
Even in the glass I saw beauty with my vision locked & made the move
Shell shocked by the physical I cared less of the long term affect I seen coming
Split the emotional ties with nothing good to give options were given but limited
No fan of neither you introduce your own choice & I became deaf
In the beginning your words were credible & never questioned

The wrong hand on the cutting board
We used our hands to show how we felt
Inexperienced I replicated the motions & it worked
Wasn’t a need to discuss Just hand over when asked
On the outside we had something to model after
Inside we had something that we couldn’t explain
Schooled by elders I went toe to toe & still became the student
The mirror game worked no longer & that became a problem
You showed anger through your hands & I ate it like pie
My hands wanted to lessen the stress but weren’t allowed to touch ...

A junky yard for junkyard dogs
Buildings that stood tall we loved the view & looked down
Protective investments we saw equity in love & we stood on that
In the mud with someone who’s willing to stand in with you showed patience
Laughed but warned many how things could go if harm were the motive
We were junkyard dogs to some & made it clear they were correct
Ravenous with no help we medicated each other in different ways
We were animals & were told we needed chains
So I made sure they were iced out around our necks
...

Our party came with drunken favors
I saw you at the party & lost you in the crowd
Drinks in our system made the advances undeniable
Eye contact a few times made the games begin
You seen the attempts & gave reason to continue
In inebriated states of mind we saw only each with the same Intentions
Friends on both sides saw this & tried to pivot our moments
You partied your body to exhaustion & you were safe
I parted your body to relax & be when you came too
(The body party we both enjoyed)

Curiosity turned stone through ties
I was the accident that was beaten into your head by accident
Intrigued by the constant thoughts you contemplated pursuing
Tied in both ends we decide to locked understandings
Patience played roles larger than words can say
Contact remained though locations changed
Access to each other became concrete & emotions intervened

Grassy Pains & Troubling Hills
We met on the street but quickly decided to take a road trip
We packed our things with our vices in personal compartments
We knew the words but trusted in different ways
Getaways brought us closer & the clutter became my comfort zone
I let go of the problem to be in the moment & it was over in the same moment
You loved the trips but hated the talks I gave your wants & begged for my needs

Different concept of understanding
We talked the same language but had two different understandings
You were so quick to go left when I always tried to guide us right
Loyalty was needed to help us stick you used it to make me sick
I was the joke & we had a laugh now you wake & walk your own path
The times were good on mistake remember skipping rocks cross the lake
Those thoughts will be in your bed with hopes of a future in your head
(The important ingredient)

Looking back without going back
You shouted to world how strong your love was when you felt elated
I knew it wasn’t genuine but I held it close cause I knew we were bulls
Tough to get through I took the deep route to remind you of what was
I became medically & emotionally ill once I stooped down a few levels
You understood when I no longer cared & I was too sick to explain
I expressed giving up & you laughed cause it was my song on repeat
I’ll remember the last laugh & You’ll remember my last words

We were too busy so we got a maid to handle things we couldn’t
Distant in love & close in affection I saw the maid

Rode past the past
I wouldn’t listen when you talked highly of your past
You never passed up a chance to take me down comparison court
You joked bout it daily & took it like a champ
Stood tall when you turned them into soldiers against me
You jumped the gate where the grass was greener on the other side
Seasons changed & so did the promises
(Easy to cut the grass hard to maintain it)
