Been writing for years on and off. Its great to look back on my old work. Good poetry captures emotion and the moment. Looking back i can read a life story. I am new to reading other poetry, and i am enjoying it thoroughly.

Dirty Foot
Grew up in the Dirt
Rough play
Fun and games
Till someone got hurt
Toys were sticks and rocks
Had parties for chicken pox
Always holes in my socks
Dirty nails
Soulless shoes
Potent booze
Twangy music
Country blues
My mother was nature
My father was time
Life has no reason
Its just a Rhyme

It wasn’t that you were getting high or low or twisted or bent or wrecked or fucked up
It was that you weren’t mine anymore
And I wasn’t yours

Migrating Ass Hair
Migrating ass hair:
Hair that grew on your head
Fell out
Sloughed down your back
And became intertwined in your ass crack
You know, the long hair that you swipe out of your ass in the shower
And try to fling onto the bathtub floor
The same hair that if unsuccessfully flung
Ends up as ornaments on the wall and the shower curtain

Precious Fashion
I fully understand the value of something precious
Let’s use silver for example:
I understand it has a placed value on it due to its rarity
Silver has some industrial uses
These also play a role in its worth
So I can see how silver would be wanted as an investment
But I don’t quite get why silver is desired in fashion such as jewelry
This is not to say that silver is not beautiful- because it is
But it’s not more beautiful than say, aluminum which is 1/1,000th of the price
And if your thinking it has something to do with the softness of...

I'm an old soul
I’ve been called an old soul since I was a young boy
Wonder how it aged so fast
Lots of head time
Years and years of self reflection
Always questioning everything
Especially myself
Digging deep
A true explorer
Learning a lot on my own
But also learning a lot through others
I don’t have to learn everything the hard way
Unrestricted
Free to roam the mind and soul
Decide my own right from wrong
Never drank the Kool-Aid
My brains never been washed
It’s still dirty and dry
Became Me
Looked to myself for...
Wonder how it aged so fast

You're Not Controlled
No control
No ball and chain
No lock nor key
You’re free to go
I won’t chase you
You'll see
But if you want to be my girl
There are expectations and demands that you must meet
And if you don't like it, that's to bad
And if me saying this makes you mad
Oh well
You already won
You got the best
In any way shape or form
Better than all the rest
Still thinking the grass might be greener, take a chance
But say good bye because I keep moving
Never slow up the romance dance
Twist and groove
I aint got shit...
No ball and chain
No lock nor key

Golden power
Sprinkled lightly
Pipe to lips
Flam sparked
Chamber filled with cloudy smoke
Slow deep breath
Breath hold
Exhale
Flam sparked again
Slow deep breath
Breath hold…
Try your best to put pipe down
Intense hallucination begins
Unable to decipher hands from pipe
Its all one
Vacation is here
Have a good trip
Eyes close
Travel deep into the head
A mystic spiritual dream
Tunneling toward a deeper truth
Consciously dreaming
My eyes open up
Wide eyed yet still dreaming
...

It's not my first
Never know when it will be my last
I've heard all things are temporary
So I hang on with a humble smile
Still yet to draw my own conclusion
Crystal clear illusion

Living on Organs
Organs
Specialized duties
Synchronized team work
Communicating at the speed of
Neurons, synapses, and receptors
Almost instantaneous
The nervous system
Evolved for speed and knowledge
Biological communication beyond creation
We are living on organs
The living machine
We are constantly being remade
We are made of cells
And we are always dieing
And being born
We are a canvas in which is constantly working
Keeping us recognizable to ourselves and others
In literal terms:
